I saw him take small steps, probe his head, observe the rail machine next to him, and listen to its sound. When he reached the motor part, he stopped again, used the probe rod in his hand as a "stethoscope", and listened carefully to the sound of the motor's "internal organs"...

"My master can tell if the rolling mill is working properly just by listening with his ears!" It is because of his unique job of 'auscultation' that this rolling mill production line has not had a major accident for more than 20 years. Meng Fanyi, a member of Yang Hong's large-scale equipment precision spot inspection studio, said admiringly.

The guardian of the "Meritorious Rolling Mill"

"If my master hadn't found out in time, not only would the slowdown opportunity be scrapped, but the production line, which was once known as the 'printing machine', would have stopped, and the entire company would have re-evaluated the production safety during the epidemic prevention and control period." Speaking of the bearing failure of the swing shear reducer just now, Meng Fanyi still has palpitations.

Since the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, Hegang Handan Steel has taken strict prevention and control measures, in order to reduce the large number of personnel gathering, the maintenance task has all fallen on Yang Hong's group, and the workload of him and his apprentices has suddenly increased. In an inspection at the end of February, Yang Hong heard the sound of the pendulum shear reducer somewhat abnormal, judging that one of the bearings had a problem, decisively stopped, and replaced the bearing himself, avoiding the suspension of production accidents.

"It's nothing! From the beginning of the construction of this production line to the commissioning, operation and maintenance, for more than 20 years, it has been guarded. Listening to the sound, I can judge the working state of the rolling mill. Yang Hong said.

Yang Hong's Hegang Handan Steel Continuous Casting Continuous Rolling Mill CSP production line, is one of the world's earliest introduction of China in the 1990s one of the world's most advanced CSP (thin slab continuous casting continuous rolling production process) production line, in 1999 once put into production, it created four world firsts, more than 20 years have not had a major accident, for the national economic construction production of more than 50 million tons of high-quality steel plates, these steel plates in the South-to-North Water Diversion, West-to-East Power Transmission, West-to-East Gas Transmission and other major national projects "meritorious service", This production line is also affectionately known as the "meritorious rolling mill" by the workers of Hegang Handan Steel.

At the beginning of the production line, Yang Hong showed foreign engineers the maintenance ability of Chinese workers. During the first maintenance, the foreign engineer left the site after work. In the absence of information and can not understand the "foreign text" on the machine, Yang Hongjian relied on memory to replace the parts and completed the equipment maintenance work. The next day, when two foreign engineers saw that the equipment had been installed and the workers were producing, their eyes widened, and they asked in disbelief: "Chinese so capable?" ”

In 2010, a German engineer came to visit, and when he saw that Yang Hong had just replaced a reducer bearing from the maintenance production line, he asked in amazement: "How do you know that there is a problem with this bearing?" "It turned out that he had just come from India, and one of the production lines there was a problem with this bearing, which caused the entire reducer to be scrapped and the production line to stop. And the problem of this bearing, in addition to disassembling it, is difficult to find.

With years of experience accumulation, Yang Hong knows the professional knowledge well, and knows the bottom of the production line, and the national sentiment makes him study the work and exert his potential to the extreme.

Since 1999, Yang Hong has been responsible for the maintenance of large-scale transmission equipment, and in the inspection, 16 major equipment hidden dangers such as damage to the main motor bearing of the winding machine, damage to the bearing of the rolling mill gear base, damage to the bearing of the rolling mill reducer, and damage to the bearing of the pendulum shear reducer were found in time, and the total economic loss was recovered by 25.2 million yuan.

An innovator who is good at research

In 1983, 18-year-old Yang Hong graduated from high school and entered Handan Steel as an overhaul worker. Later, because he had a dream of being a soldier, he joined the army and served as an artillery scout for 4 years. In 1990 he took off his military uniform and returned to his post as a worker.

"Don't worry about what you do, just do it with your heart and you can succeed." This is his father's earnest teaching to Yang Hong. He kept these words in mind at all times.

Since the CSP production line was put into production, due to various reasons, the work roller has been broken, and the processing time often takes 6 to 10 hours or more.

Yang Hong was determined to gnaw on this hard "bone.". He went deep into the scene many times to observe and ponder each broken roller accident... Finally, this "veteran" with 24 years of machine repair experience did not live up to everyone's hopes, and successfully summarized a complete set of broken roller treatment methods, which were named "Yanghong Hot Rolling Mill Working Roll Breaking Processing Advanced Operation Method". This new method of operation has made the original handling of roll break accidents busy and orderly.

Four years of military life have also cultivated his perseverance in the face of difficulties. During the production line of the continuous casting and rolling mill, there is often a problem of running water from the rough rolling scale removal machine to the outlet of the No. 1 furnace, which leads to a drop in the furnace temperature and cannot be rolled normally, damaging the furnace door, the furnace roller and the heat protection equipment in the furnace. The task of solving this head-scratching problem ultimately fell to Yang Hong.

There is no precedent, no information, no reference, Yang Hong will "stare" at the scene, staying for several hours. Through repeated observation and careful analysis, after 1 year and 4 months, more than 80 tests, a water retaining device that can adapt to the scene has been successfully developed, and after more than half a year of improvement, the current water retaining device has become an indispensable formal equipment. It is easy to make, quick to install, disassembly takes only 2 minutes, can be replaced by the steel gap, effectively solves the problem of running water, and won the national patent.

"If a worker desires to do good, he must first use it." Yang Hong is a person who can study and be good at inventing. He immersed himself in the study of the working principle of the CSP production line SIMAK large-scale transmission equipment, consulted the relevant technical requirements and combined with more than 30 years of field experience, and produced a variety of point inspection tools for large-scale transmission equipment: probe rod, magnetic universal detection device in the gearbox, magnet device in the box... Every day, the members of the Innovation Studio carry these tools to the fine point inspection, guarding the operation of the production line.

Over the years, Yang Hong has solved a large number of technical bottlenecks in the maintenance of production line equipment, he proposed more than 30 technological innovations, 3 advanced operation methods, of which the "CSP Internal Cold Roller Rapid Replacement Method" also won the third prize of the Hebei Provincial Advanced Operation Method for Employees; "The Practical Effect of Improving Edge Shielding" won the Handan Excellent Quality Management Achievement Award; the self-created "Five Operation Methods" won 7 awards and won 3 national patents.

A great craftsman who preaches and teaches

Don't look at Yang Hong only graduated from high school, but 4 of his nearly 300 apprentices can be graduate students. In October 2015, the employee technology innovation studio named after Yang Hong - "Yang Hong Large Equipment Precision Inspection Innovation Studio" was established. He led 9 production technology backbones, held regular technical training, carried out independent innovation activities, and established 89 key innovation topics, contributing to greatly improving the level of production line equipment and equipment and continuously optimizing the variety structure. The studio was rated as "the company's top ten innovation studios" and "Hebei Province Skill Master Innovation Studio", and in 2019, it became a national skill master studio.

The innovation studio has trained a number of employees who are active in the front line of innovation, such as Han Shejun, Li Jie, Niu Yu, Li Lingchong, etc., who have formed a vigorous and passionate reserve force and achieved results in mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, electrical equipment and other professional fields. Soon after Han Shejun joined the work, he grew from a fledgling university student to a technical supervisor, he was good at using innovative thinking to solve production problems, and completed the rolling mill export fork plate improvement project, with an annual effect of 1.5 million yuan.
