The Gentleman of the Naturalist Is Well-read, Including intricate And Can Be Written - Commenting on Zhao Yuntao's "China in Symbols"

author:Tianya Wenshi V

Brother Zhao Yuntao's "China in Symbols" was published, and I congratulate him. When he went to Hainan Normal University for graduate school, he was famous on the campus of Hainan Normal University under the pen name "Zhao Jiujiu", he was tall and handsome, roller skates were worn, and he had the momentum of both literature and martial arts, and had many fans. At that time, I had already graduated from college and left school to teach Chinese in middle school.

In the "Standards for Ordinary High School Chinese Curriculum" promulgated by the Ministry of Education, there are two requirements: "Comb through the common literal words, virtual words, special sentence patterns and cultural common sense in the works you have studied, and pay attention to the similarities and differences between ancient and modern languages." "In the appreciation of reading,...... Learn about the relevant ancient Chinese culture,...... Enrich and deepen the understanding of history, society and life. The Modern Chinese Dictionary interprets the term "common sense" as "ordinary knowledge; general knowledge", which seems to be intended to explain the knowledge to be examined, and the average person will understand, but the fact that this concept without boundaries is concretely implemented into "culture" and "common sense", and the test is not the student's knowledge reserve, but the teacher's personal level, and finally "common sense" becomes "common knowledge".

The pursuit of efficiency first cultural common sense learning, so tasteless. In recent years, I have often seen students, holding various mathematical formula manuals, general cultural knowledge manuals, reciting them one by one. In the boring time, I missed the opportunity to read a good book. Therefore, I have been looking forward to the day when I can summarize the important Chinese excellent traditional cultural symbols at the synchronic level, explain its ins and outs to the students from the diachronic point of view, and the book is interesting and informative.

I don't mean that the understanding of cultural symbols is limited to students preparing for the exam, after the short video appears, the learning of knowledge is not only fragmented, but also flowing, so that after the gold mask of Sanxingdui in Chengdu was unearthed, seeing the prominent eyeballs, a broadcaster said conclusively that this may be extraterrestrial culture. In the book "China in Symbols", Brother Zhao Yuntao moved out of "Huayang Guozhi" to prove the cultural foundation of Sanxingdui culture and its relationship with the Civilization of the Central Plains.

China in space is large and rich, and China in time has a long history, so the word "culture" is both broad and profound, and it is accurate and profound in folk proverbs, in folk songs, on the stone beasts at the door, and in each of our festivals. Culture is a dynamically generated process, a cultural symbol, when did it originate? What changes have gone through in between? What are the reasons for the change? How is it reflected in our lives today? Zhao Yuntao's brother quoted from the side, such as mentioning the image of Sun Wukong, he quoted Lu Xun, Hu Shi, Zheng Zhenduo, Ji Xianlin and other views, so the discussion was rigorous. For example, when mentioning the great haunting of the Heavenly Palace, he quoted Sam Mengwu's point of view that Sun Wukong was not because of the small official, Confucius also did a small official, but because the gods and immortals in the heavens were too long-lived, and there was no way to promote them no matter how well they were done, and they were "rolled up" and were interesting.

The two sides of the "symbol" are signifiers and signifiers, like a traffic light, its color is signifier, and the content of the instructions it conveys is the signifier. This in itself has probabilities and even contingencies, but as for the deep-seated reasons for this probabilism or contingency, we are often accustomed to it, and in the five years of being an international Chinese teacher, I have been asked many such questions, such as Chinese why do I buy "things" instead of "north and south"? Why is "meat" a cursive prefix? Only by knowing the symbols in their own culture can they navigate with ease and be confident in their foreign exchanges.

When we are full of desire to explore the current life, we can more clearly understand the origin and direction of culture, if a student's future ideal is to be a film and television drama director, the props and decorations for shooting costume dramas should conform to common sense, otherwise it will become a cross-over drama if you are not careful.

I closed the book, opened the circle of friends, and saw that Brother YunTao had sent a dynamic of participating in the Forbidden City Study training class, and I actually looked forward to his early republishment of the masterpiece.
