At this year's CCTV Spring Festival Gala, "Wise Tiger Mountain" brought by Fu Xiru and National Peking Opera actor Du Zhe in the opera singing series received a lot of attention. On March 20 and 21, Fu Xiru will once again play the legendary detective hero Yang Zirong at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, bringing popular singing segments and highly artistic performances, showing the heroic pride of "writing Spring and Autumn with blood".
In 1958, the Shanghai Peking Opera House adapted the classic highlight of the novel "Lin Hai Xueyuan" "Wisdom to Conquer The Tiger Mountain" into a modern Peking Opera, which is magnificent and spectacular, with both revolutionary heroism and romanticism, which has been performed over the years, especially the "lone hero" Yang Zirong, played by Tong Xiangling, has become a classic image in the hearts of generations.

"At the beginning, my understanding of Yang Zirong was symbolic, he was witty, brave, not afraid of sacrifice, and existed like a god." Fu Xiru said. However, after he walked through the revolutionary holy places such as the Slag Cave, the Hongqi Canal, and the Jinggangshan Mountain, and after listening to the revolutionary stories told by the descendants of the martyrs, his understanding of the revolutionary figures underwent a profound change: "They are living people, and they also have fear and wandering, but they have overcome the shortcomings of human nature with the power of faith, which is even more precious." When I came back, I was one step closer to the character emotionally and humanly. In the performance, he no longer blindly pursues the right words and sings beautifully, but naturally integrates a deep affection and admiration, and he finds that although the audience's applause is not as warm as before, the emotional effect achieved is better.
From Yang Zirong to Fan Wenhua in "Dawn of The Fire" to Fang Meng'ao in the new play "Changing People", Fu Xiru has played many classic red characters in recent years, and he also admitted that the progress in "Wise Tiger Mountain" happened after "Dawn of the Bathing Fire", these roles collided with each other in his heart, inspiring more sparks, but at the same time bringing him new thinking: "I am afraid of hearing the audience say' How does Yang Zirong have the flavor of Fan Wenhua', modern Peking Opera rarely has stylized performances to refer to, and it is precisely because this performance is easy to converge, at this time, it is necessary for actors to delicately grasp the emotions and lifestyles of the characters. ”
