Sichuan News Network Beijing, August 22 (Reporter Li Huiying photo report) On the afternoon of August 22, as one of the series of supporting activities of the first China Giant Panda International Culture Week, the giant panda theme book sharing meeting was held at the National Library. The event was jointly sponsored by the National Library of China and the Information Office of the People's Government of Sichuan Province. Hu Jinxuan, the first person to study giant pandas in China, Alai, a famous contemporary writer, Xu Gang, a poet and famous contemporary natural literature writer, Tan Kai, a well-known expert in domestic giant panda culture research, and Sun Qian, a famous domestic giant panda culture scholar, came to the National Library to share their love affair with giant pandas, share their understanding of the relationship between man and nature, and share the untold stories behind their creation of giant panda works, bringing a rich feast of giant panda culture to the audience.

For a long time, literary, popular science and documentary works with the theme of giant pandas have been deeply loved by people at home and abroad. The mysterious life of the 8 million-year evolutionary history of the giant panda, the strange beauty of the giant panda habitat, and the indissoluble love between the giant panda and humans have made the giant panda the protagonist of researchers, writers and journalists, silently touching generations of readers, conveying the emotional bond between people and giant pandas, and enlightening the way people and nature get along.

In 2016, at the age of 87, Hu Jinyan published the heartfelt work "The Legend of the Giant Panda", which condensed decades of research work. In vivid, popular and interesting language, he introduced the past and present life of giant pandas and many little-known mysteries of life from the aspects of form, ecology, physiology, behavior, heredity, evolution and protection, and gave an interesting introduction to the history and culture of giant pandas, the construction of giant panda conservation areas and giant panda diplomacy. At the scene, Hu Lao brought readers the creative experience of "Wolong Giant Panda" and "Legend of the Giant Panda" and shared the legendary experience of creating the China Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center.

Mr. Tan Kai, a domestic giant panda culture research expert, winner of the Chinese Science Fiction Lifetime Achievement Award, and former editor-in-chief of the famous Chinese magazine "Science Fiction World", showed a "cat powder" strength at the scene, and the tie worn on the day was a panda pattern, which was very cute. Mr. Tan Kai introduced that he has been writing about pandas for 38 years, and his first reportage is about giant pandas. The content is that after the giant panda Meimei gave birth to the dragon, she observed how the panda nursed the child at close range, and saw the tired and melancholy eyes of the panda mother at that time, "It seems that the sorrows of 8 million years ago are in the eyes, and the sadness and compassion touch me." ”

Alai: Better promote giant panda culture through literature

On August 21, the writer Ah Lai, who has just won the title of global promotion ambassador of giant panda culture, said in an interview with reporters, "Pandas can survive in Sichuan because Sichuan has a good ecology, why Sichuan has such a good natural ecology, in addition to its own ecological background, in fact, it is also related to the environmental awareness of the people of Sichuan for many years to cherish nature and protect nature." Writer Ah Lai said that in the future, we will also publicize and encourage everyone to further do a good job in protecting nature, so that Sichuan's mountains and rivers are more beautiful.

"I came to be the Panda Ambassador, and I feel that I have two responsibilities on my shoulders." Ah Lai, because he is a writer, the first thing is to let more literary works express Sichuan more deeply through his own writing, so that more people in the world know Sichuan and understand Sichuan. Secondly, he himself should lead by example, to improve the awareness of environmental protection, but also to promote this awareness of environmental protection, "to make the mountains of Sichuan greener and greener, so that the giant pandas can find a beautiful home like the Garden of Eden in Sichuan." ”
