Universal Pictures has released a preview of the Chinese version of the new "The Mummy", which will be released in the United States on June 9, 2017.

Universal Pictures plans to create a new series of classic monster movies, shaping the monster movie universe, the new version of "The Mummy" will be the pioneer of this series, starring Tom Cruise, playing a special forces member, Sophia Portilla will play the role of the main villain "Mummy".
Characters that will be reinterpreted later include Dracula the Vampire Duke, Frankenstein, Invisible Man, Werewolf, Bride of Frankenstein, Vampire Hunter Van Helsing, and more.
Once considered safely buried in a grave deep beneath the desolate desert, an ancient queen (Sophia Portilla) who was wrongfully murdered before she was born is now suddenly awakened, unleashing her silence and thousands of years of resentment and malice with an evil force beyond human understanding.
