Antarctic wolves, living in the Falkland Islands, the southernmost part of the earth, in the southernmost province of Santa Cruz in Argentina, have a similar appearance to a dog, with a shorter tail and never curled up, hanging between the hind limbs. The ears are erected without curvature. It preys on herbivores and rodents living in the Falkland Islands. Due to the extinction of human intervention in 1857 and the extinction of antarctic wolves, local herbivores and rodents multiplied rapidly and in increasing numbers. The Texas Red Wolf lived off the coast of Mexico and became extinct in 1970. , smaller body weight in 18-27 kg. In 1970, the last purebred Texas Red Wolf died in the gulf not far from Texas and Mexico.

It weighs 10 kilograms more than the North American gray wolf, the largest surviving canid. It was considered completely extinct in 1925
The Cascade brown wolf is named after the Castor Mountains region of Canada and the United States.
