Contemporary

With the withdrawal of land and the transformation of the city in 1983, it gradually became today's administrative division.

Throughout the history of jining city's administrative divisions, eleven counties were established during the Qin Dynasty, five of which continue to this day, with a long history of administrative structure. The prefecture-level administrative structure of Jining City originated from Jeju in the second year of the fifth dynasty of Zhou Guangshun, and has been established for more than a thousand years.

However, for most of the historical Jeju, the jurisdiction was not the present, and for a long time, Yanzhou (Luzhou, Lu County, Yanzhou Capital) occupied a pivotal position. However, the prefecture-level administrative structure of Yanzhou Capital did not continue, leaving only one Yanzhou District.

Finally, let's talk about Yanzhou District, a city with a huge difference in administrative status between ancient and modern times. Previously, the Sui Dynasty was a prefecture at the provincial capital level, and then gradually demoted to what is now a municipal district.
