Over the years, he has been committed to the basic and clinical research of nasal endoscopic surgery, including the introduction of foreign countries, the promotion and improvement of nasal endoscopic technology in China. So far, he has completed nearly 10,000 nasal endoscopic surgeries, and is good at treating chronic refractory sinusitis, such as frontal sinusitis; nasal-eye related diseases; nasal and cranial base diseases, such as cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea, pituitary tumor, nasopharyngeal fibrohegioma, slope chordoma, etc.; especially in the field of pediatric cranial floor surgery, which is at the international advanced level, including sinus skull base ossified fibroma. It is the earliest systematic research in China to systematically carry out research related to the comprehensive treatment of nasal endoscopic surgery and the basic and clinical research of frontal sinus related surgery, creatively put forward the classification and surgical operation principles of the nasal endoscopic frontal crypt, and innovatively propose the pre-tear crypt approach and promote it at home and abroad.
He is also the leader of the expert group of the endoscopic diagnosis and treatment technology project of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the standing committee member and the leader of the rhinology group of the otolaryngology head and neck surgery branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the standing committee member and secretary general of the otolaryngology head and neck surgery branch of the Beijing Medical Association, the vice chairman of the otolaryngology head and neck surgery branch and the skull base surgery branch of the Medical Promotion Association, and the vice president of the endoscopic physician branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association.
In the past five years, he has published more than 110 academic papers, 29 English sci articles, authored and published 5 scientific research and teaching monographs, applied for 9 patents, and won 3 national natural science foundation projects. In 2013, the "basic and clinical research related to frontal sinus surgery" won the second prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, in 2015, it was approved by the "Dengfeng" Talent Training Program of the Beijing Municipal Hospital Administration, and as the main completer, he won 2 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 first prize and 3 second prizes of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award.
