2003年：武漢大學生命科學學院獲理學學士學位；
2004-2009年：就讀于中國科學院水生生物研究所攻讀理學博士學位。

2009-2012年：美國UT Southwestern Medical Center從事博士後研究；
2012年底：回國在華中農業大學水産學院從事魚類遺傳育種教研工作。主講博士研究所學生課程《水産科學專題讨論》和大學生課程《魚類發育生物學》，參與講授碩士研究所學生課程《水産科學研究進展》和《魚類基因組學》，大學生課程《水生生物分子生物學》。兼任Journal of Biological Research和American Medical Journal雜志編委；Gene, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, International Journal of Biological Sciences, Molecular Reproduction and Development等SCI雜志審稿人，中文期刊“水生生物學報”和“中國科學：生命科學”等雜志審稿人。
