Overview
Get familiar with the main components of the workspace and learn about homepages.
Basic Structure
A. Banner frame - Runs across the top of every page in the workspace.
B. Application navigator - Provides access to all available applications and modules, favorites, and recently viewed items.
C. Homepage - Appears when you first sign in.
Banner Frame
A. User menu - View your user profile or log out. Additional actions are available for administrators.
B. Connect - Toggle the Connect sidebar, where you can chat, work with records, and share files with other users.
C. Global search - Search the instance for matching records.
D. Help - Discover answers to your questions quickly with a tour of What’s New and links to the User Guide and Product Documentation.
E. System settings - Edit personal settings for the instance to customize the look and feel. Developer tools are available to users with certain roles.
Application Navigator
A. Navigation filter - Quickly access applications, modules, and favorites.
B. All applications - View all applications and modules.
C. Application menu - Click to expand or collapse modules for the application.
D. Module - Click to open the link. Most modules open in the content frame.
E. Favorites - View or customize items you have added as favorites, such as modules, lists, or records.
F. History - View items you have recently accessed.
G. Expand/Collapse - Show or hide the application navigator.
Homepage
When you first log in, you see a homepage that is appropriate for your role in the system, such as an administrator or service desk user. Homepages are dashboards that contain navigational elements, functional controls, and system information.
A. Add content - Add a homepage item, also called a widget.
B. Switch to page - Select a different homepage to open.
C. Widget - A block of content, such as a report or list. There are several types of widgets.
D. Homepage Settings - Set the automatic refresh frequency.
E. Refresh now - Refresh all content on the homepage.
