Lorde Announces Photo Book 'Going South' & Fans Are Freaking Out
洛德/洛儿官宣自己的写真游记《南行》开售 & 粉丝高兴坏了
Lorde just surprised fans with a big announcement through her newsletter.
洛德刚通过她的新闻稿发表了一个重大声明，让粉丝们大吃一惊。
The 24-year-old singer, who has been away from social media and working on her next album, revealed that during the pandemic, she's also been working on a photo book which highlights her 2019 trip to Antarctica.
这位24岁的歌手，有段时间以来一直避开了社交媒体，在专心制作自己的下一张专辑，表示在大流行期间，她把2019年南极科考的日子里在南极大陆上的所见所想，以及复古胶片写真集，制作了一本名为《南行》（非官方中文名称，原名“Going South”）的游记，并且已经在官网上架。

“I'm here in your inbox because I have exciting news,” Lorde teased, before shooting down hopes that it was news about her album. “Not that news. Don't get too excited.”

Lorde went on to open up about what the book is and what it means to her.

“When I went to Antarctica, I hadn't yet starting writing again after finishing Melodrama. I realized after the trip that what my brain had been craving was a visit to an alternate realm. Albums live in their own realms in a way, and Antarctica really acted as this great white palette cleanser, a sort of celestial foyer I had to move through in order to start making the next thing.”

She adds, “The book is sort of a perfect precursor to this album in an abstract way, and it's a cool little police of the Lorde cinematic universe for you to own if you'd like to.”

After the letter was sent, fans took to social media to react to the news, and just within minutes, it was sold out.
