Lin Biao, Luo Ronghuan, Peng Zhen, Chen Yun, Gao Gang, Xiao Jinguang, Deng Hua, Huang Yongsheng, Xiao Hua, Han Xianchu, and a large number of other central committee members and senior generals left Yan'an and Shandong marched into the northeast.
Among the troops advancing into the northeast, there were more than 60,000 people in the Eighth Route Army in the Shandong base area. There are mainly the First Division of Shandong, division commander Liang Xingchu, the second division, Liang Chang Luo Huasheng, the third division, division commander Wang Jian'an (not going to the northeast), deputy division commander Hu Qicai, two regiments of the fifth division, division commander Wu Kehua, sixth division, division commander Nie Fengzhi (not going to the northeast), deputy division commander Cai Zhengguo, seventh division, division commander Yang Guofu. Among the commanders of the five second-level military regions in Shandong, Wang Jian'an, Xu Shiyou, Zhang Guangzhong, Chen Shiqu, and Yang Guofu, only Yang Guofu went to the northeast.
Four of the six divisions that went were led by division commanders, and the other two were deputy division commanders. Liang Xingchu has always performed strongly, was the main force of Lin Biao, and was later promoted to commander of the Tenth Column, leading the 38th Army to play the good name of the Banzai Army in Korea, and after returning to China, he served as the commander of the Chengdu Military Region. Luo Huasheng was transferred away after that, and was still the commander of an independent division in the late stage of the Liberation War, and he was not promoted in the northeast for three years. Wu Kehua has always been very lucky, promoted to the commander of the fourth column of the main force, his greatest merit is the Tashan Blockade Battle, the first world war became famous, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was also the commander of the artillery, the railway corps, the commander of the Chengdu Military Region, the Xinjiang Military Region, and the Guangzhou Military Region. Yang Guofu also performed well in the northeast, his Seventh Division became the tiger of Dongye, he had a group of coal miners in Shandong, so he was good at making bombs, after arriving in the northeast, his explosive skills were brought into full play, and he became the main division of Dongye, Yang Guofu was later promoted to deputy commander of the 43rd Army and deputy commander of the Jinan Military Region. Long Shujin, deputy commander of the Seventh Division, was even more courageous, and after succeeding the division commander, he specialized in attacking strong points, fighting siping, and attacking Jinzhou, until he made a splash in Tianjin, and then rose to the rank of commander of the Xinjiang Military Region.
The third division led by deputy division commander Hu Qicai later became the main force of the third column, Hu Qicai served as the commander of the fourth column, and together with General Han in the Battle of Xinkailing, he killed the 25th Division of the Nationalist army's ace Qianliju. In the Battle of Tashan Blockade, he sat on Tashan and wrote a period of glory. Deputy Division Commander Cai Zhengguo later served as the commander of the 11th Division of the Fourth Column, and was killed in the 50th Army in the Korean War, which was a pity.
