This group of glorious old party members are all members from the Affinity Source Elderly Apartment. At the event site, the oldest was the centenarian Zhu Shousong, a former professor at the School of Medicine of Tongji University and an expert in epidemiology. Born in 1922, he is 100 years old this year. The longest-standing party members have been in the party for more than 70 years. Some of them are veterans who participated in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and have witnessed the birth and growth of the republic all the way from the years of war and fire, and some are experts, scholars, and artists from all walks of life who have made outstanding contributions to the development and construction of new China.
Chen Qi, a 92-year-old famous performance artist, is the oldest veteran party member in the Affinity Yuan Elderly Apartment. Born in 1929, she joined the party at the age of 16 and has been in the party for 76 years. This afternoon, Teacher Chen Qi, dressed in joy, came to the scene of the activity early, exchanged warm exchanges with Niu Ben, Qiao Hazel, and others, and also led the new party members to take the oath and relive the oath of joining the party with full spirit.
Born in 1928 and at the age of 93, Li Ren joined the party in 1948, just after turning 20. To this day, Elder Li still clearly remembers the date of his joining the party: September 5, 1948. He said sincerely: "This is the most important day of my life. In the video played at the event site, he said with great affection: Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party. I wish the party a glorious eternal stay and a cause forever evergreen! Born in 1934, Kong Ruxiong is 87 years old and joined the party in 1952, with a party age of 69 years. A graduate of dalian naval academy, Kong Lao spent his life dealing with the vast ocean, and since 1950 has served in the Navy's East China Sea Fleet Command and Shanghai Ocean Shipping Company. He was a participant in the first national marine census after the founding of New China. Under extremely difficult conditions, he and his colleagues jointly solved the problem of navigational positioning in offshore sea areas and improved the accuracy of astronomical positioning at that time. To this day, Elder Kong still strictly demands himself by the standards of Communist Party members, and often participates in many public welfare activities in the community. He said: Communist Party members must withstand hardships, the tests of life and death, and the temptations of all kinds of fame and fortune, and bear in mind that ideological work is the lifeline of all economic work. "I dedicate this life to the cause of the party, and I have no regrets in my life!" Elder Kong said.
Born in December 1933, Wu Yonglin joined the Party in May 1956 and has been in the Party for 65 years. In December 1951, Elder Wu entered Korea to participate in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and served as a clerk and oil feeder in the Air Force Combat Collection Brigade. After the end of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, he returned to China in June 1954 and entered the Oil Institute of the Central Military Commission for 3 years, and later served as deputy chief engineer and senior engineer of the Shanghai Hailian Lubrication Materials Research Institute, and made major research breakthroughs in the field of oilseeds. He presided over a series of new products developed, and won important awards such as the Gold Award of China New Product Technology Expo and the Silver Award of Shanghai Science and Technology Expo. After his retirement, Elder Wu continued to exert his residual enthusiasm, serving as the deputy regiment leader and secretary general of the Shanghai Broadway Moral Education Lecturers Group and the Chinese Volunteer Army Veterans Branch, often organizing volunteer veterans to go deep into communities and schools to carry out patriotic education, and guiding the majority of party members and young people to "never forget their original intentions and keep their mission in mind" and strive to become communist successors.
