Wang Shuai believes that as a carrier for the deep integration of information technology and education and teaching, the hybrid teaching platform can help colleges and universities effectively break through construction bottlenecks such as high construction costs, lack of underlying core technologies, and fragmented teaching business scenarios in teaching informatization. While ensuring the digitization of the overall teaching process, it has a significant role in promoting the quality of education and improving the supply of education.

With the development of higher education, higher education has been given a new mission and function, but the core is talent training. In recent years, China has vigorously promoted the deepening of the integration of industry and education, and encouraged industry-academia cooperation and collaborative education. Wang Shuai pointed out that Tencent Industrial Internet Academy will rely on the accumulation of Tencent Education's school-enterprise cooperation education platform to build a full-loop system of talent training system construction, theoretical and practical transformation, skill level certification, and talent employment recommendation, and work with universities to jointly explore a new model of digital talent cultivation in the new era.

Hello everyone! The following is for me to report to you some of Tencent Education's explorations in the field of higher education in the past two years.

Two years ago, Tencent Education launched a "stop class, no stop learning" alliance in Wuhan, which made a deep impression on us. At the same time, I also thank you for the trust of your education colleagues, in the initiation process of the "stop class and stop learning" alliance, Tencent Education has also handed over a good answer sheet, such as Tencent Conference, Tencent Classroom, Enterprise WeChat, etc., carrying the needs of many teachers and students for online learning.

At present, there is a great demand for the integration of online and offline in the field of higher education. Especially in the post-epidemic era, how to change from the original pure offline teaching to online and offline hybrid teaching is actually driven by many scenarios. For example, to solve the problem of how overseas students can't come back to class, and to solve the problem of some cross-campus students attending classes together. In the past, we have been trying a lot of scenes. At the ceremony of the Shanghai University International Youth Launch Forum on May 30, 2020, more than 1,000 scholars opened the video at the same time, which was very shocking, which was also a new way to open online and offline forums.

In the post-epidemic era, we are reflecting on many issues, among which one of the questions that everyone often mentions is whether online and offline integrated classrooms can be regarded as an important part of the future smart campus construction, and why did not have the ability to directly carry the online teaching needs brought about by the epidemic in the past? There are many reasons for this, but it is important to put them together simply:

First, the information construction with hardware as the core in the past has brought about a series of problems. For example, the problem of updating iteration, because a good platform must be able to iterate faster to keep up with the market and trends;

The second is the lack of underlying core technology. Because when it comes to online, it requires the construction of many core capabilities, such as the ability to communicate, the ability to send messages, the ability to audio and video, and then the ability to search online. The better place is that the companies represented by Tencent are now making these technologies very open and very easy to use;

The third is the fragmentation of business scenarios. In the past, many schools had this problem, each teaching section had its own core appeal, and the use of each system was separated, resulting in data incompatibility, and users were not too convenient to use.

The core solution that Tencent Education wants to do is to return to the user, solve the core demands of students, teachers and administrators, connect their core needs through a systematic platform, and ultimately realize the trinity of teaching, learning and management. The essence is that combining Tencent's technology and online capabilities, this ability and the original traditional teaching and traditional offline needs are deeply combined, and finally provide a new integrated teaching scene.

At the same time, in the integrated teaching scenario, we must achieve more flexible adaptation. I was very impressed that when I first supported "suspension of classes and non-stop learning", there was a math teacher, because he was used to writing various formulas on the blackboard to teach students, but at that time, how did he achieve it online? He first fixed the mobile phone to a white paper, and then wrote various formulas and drawings on the white paper, and restored the things on the original blackboard to the white paper, which is a typical scene.

With the continuous iteration of technology, there are still many problems that need to be solved today to support the integration of online and offline. We not only support teachers to easily realize offline and online teaching scenarios through computers and mobile phones, but also support other scenarios such as group discussions and virtual simulation teaching. Therefore, what we want to do is to make the software adapt to various scenarios faster, so that users can easily purchase hardware for fusion use. Of course, in the end, we hope not to add extra burdens to teachers and students, and can make it used regularly, more convenient and easier to use.

Finally, there is data, which is the core basis for making decisions. In the future, we hope to precipitate more and more valuable data through online and offline integration platforms. From the update of a courseware to the selection of excellent lesson plans and excellent teachers, there can be more data support and let the data help us make decisions.

Next, I will report to the teachers on Tencent's practice in talent training. Tencent Industrial Internet Academy mainly revolves around the integration of industry and education and collaborative education. As early as 2017, Tencent signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Education on the integration of industry and education. In the past few years, we have had very in-depth cooperation with Tianjin University, Beihang Airlines and Shenzhen University, and also used Tencent's resource advantages to pull the government, schools and enterprises to unite at the three ends to build some industrial bases. What does the industrial base have to solve? The core is to solve the problem of students practicing the last mile of employment, so that the cultivated students can finally intern in the industrial base, and even find employment.

Just talked about the integration of industry and education, many people may be wondering, what are the advantages of Tencent's integration of industry and education? I use a simple case. For example, industrial quality inspection can be said to be a very hot topic in the field of AI in the past three years, because everyone believes that there is a very large market space for empowering traditional industries through AI. Tencent was in contact with a company that made mobile phone accessories, which had spent more than 50 million yuan before Tencent went in, and there were 5 AI companies to try, and the final result was not too good, so when we went in, they were not very optimistic about this matter.

After Tencent went in, it first gained insight into the pain points of the industry, and whether the pain points of the industry existed? Real. Because the cost of manual quality inspection is high, and there is a lot of personnel loss, the quality of newly recruited people is very different. How to solve this problem? In the past, we thought that ai was very tall, using CPU and GPU to continuously optimize and iterate algorithms, but the real landing of AI is to deeply combine theory and practice, such as our ph.D. and factory sister to discuss what kind of products are qualified, what kind of products are unqualified, how do we choose to label samples? AI needs to be supported by a large number of label samples.

In the end, Tencent made the first version of the solution, and the simulation data in the laboratory was very good, which was a missed detection rate of 0.02%, but in the actual combat scenario, this proportion suddenly doubled by 10 times, how to solve this problem? In fact, through the combination of algorithm and practice, we finally achieved a 0 missed detection rate and was recognized by customers. At the same time, our detection efficiency is 7 times that of manual.

Because Tencent already has practical experience in digital transformation and AI scenario application, it can provide industry training for digital transformation to the whole industry. In the past, Tencent has carried out in-depth cooperation with 120 large Chinese enterprises, financial enterprises, and local governments, and has also exported many highly recognized courses and practical training content in the industry.

When facing colleges and universities, Tencent hopes to deeply build a combination of theory and practice. Around Tencent's past experience, such as in the field of blockchain and in the field of big data, Tencent has a lot of experience precipitation, and what Tencent has to do is to transform these experiences into curriculum systems, laboratories, practical training and other content, and finally output them to the school. The core is to improve students' hands-on ability and social practice ability.

This is a panorama of Tencent's industrial talent training. Tencent takes teaching and training as the core, through events and training certification, and does more integration with the school and society, such as short training camps and industrial college cooperation, as well as the government's linkage of industry-university-research bases, and finally output Tencent's advantages in technology to the school, and constantly iterate and update.

Finally, I would like to introduce the construction of Tencent's talent ecosystem, and the core "last mile" of talent training is employment. First of all, Tencent's graduate recruitment is the largest number of all Internet companies, and in 2021 alone, Tencent's own enrollment of more than 5,000 students will be enrolled, plus Tencent's ecological enterprises, in fact, this number is very large.
