Old aunt - Gong Quanzhen

Gong Quanzhen: Retired teacher of Lianhua County, Jiangxi Province, wife of Comrade Gan Zuchang, founding general. In 1957, he returned to Lianhua County, Jiangxi Province with Gan Zuchang, and worked diligently and taught and educated people in the ordinary post of a rural teacher for decades. She left her post for 40 years, insisted on going to the grass-roots level and the masses, and made more than 1,000 reports on revolutionary traditional education; in her old age, she established the "Gong Quanzhen Studio" to carry out red education, and carried forward the party's fine traditions with her own words and deeds. She devoted herself to helping the people living in difficulty, insisting on spending 500 yuan a month to buy books for the community, going to the welfare home every week to care for the orphans and the elderly, and often sponsoring poor students. As the general's wife, she always maintained a normal heart, repeatedly refused the care given by the organization, and has always lived a simple life, which is respected and loved by the local cadres and masses. General Secretary Xi Jinping has cordially received her twice and affectionately called her "old aunt".
