Mengnuo, located in the Nu River Grand Canyon, is a typical subtropical dry and hot river valley, surrounded by mountains and peaks. The "Immortal Cave" is located on the mountainside of this mountain north of Mengnuo, 5 kilometers away from the town of Mengnuo. Because of the mystery of the cave, it was named "Fairy Cave" by the locals.
This is a cave made of limestone, due to the movement of the earth's crust, the surface water seeps down from the cracks, the limestone is slowly dissolved, coupled with the impact of groundwater, the rock inside the cave collapses, and the cave continues to expand. After the river channel changes, a new layer of caves will be formed, which is why the "Immortal Cave" has several layers of caves. Slowly, the current "Mengluo Immortal Cave" was formed.
Since the local Dai people come here every year to hold sacrifices, a staircase has been built at the entrance of the cave. Go down the stairs at the entrance of the cave, the inside suddenly opened up, hundreds of square meters of "human cave hall" appeared in front of the eyes, the cave roof and cave wall were gradually divided into a non-interdependent, varied, steep and beautiful strange landscape after a long period of dissolution.
Caves are "natural underground spaces that people can enter", a small part of which is a primary cave formed at the same time as the surrounding rocks, and most of which are secondary caves formed by karst erosion over a long period of time. There are many different creatures in the cave, including snails, spiders and other relatively small creatures with more than 25 species, and it has also been found that there may be more than 5 species of bats inside.
Bats are the most important species in the ecosystem of the Mengluo area, bats eat a lot of pests, it is very critical to the protection of farmland, the entire ecosystem is very critical, bats fly out of the cave to feed, eat leftover food and feces fall to the bottom of the cave to feed microorganisms to eat, microorganisms have become the food of small insects, spiders and other larger creatures rely on eating small insects for a living, bats in turn prey on spiders and other organisms. In this way, a complete cave food chain is formed.
Yandong is located in the middle of Dongshan Mountain in the Lian Community of Diantan Town, Tengchong City, is a natural stone cave, but also the habitat of rock swallows, so it is called YanDong. The stone pillars, stone piers, and stalactites in the Yan Cave are like cascading waterfalls, some like bells and drums, some like colorful chandeliers, some like colorful neon, some like turbulent waves, like mushrooms, corals, lilies, bamboo shoots, stone knives, stone axes, stone mills, stone benches, stone tables, woods... Heaven and earth, ingenious, all-encompassing, mottled, breathtaking. The magic of the stone cave group is that it has holes in the cave, the caves are connected, the holes are large and small, high and low, up and down, left and right, twists and turns, people are confused, some places are open and wide, can accommodate thousands of people; Some places can be lined up and passed upright, unimpeded; Narrow areas require sideways or creeping in, or even crawling. The caves are integrated with each other, the whole Yandong Mountain is almost empty, and the belly of the mountain can be described as a hundred turns, and the caves are connected.
It is said that this cave connects to the east at the foot of the Hongtang Bridge in dongying community of Mingguang Town. Listening to a local old man, a long time ago, a group of hunters rounded up a chamois, the chamois panicked, fled into the Swallow Cave, the hunters let a clever and fierce hunting dog into the cave to chase, and since then there has been no news. After a long time, the locals on the Mingguang side found that at the mouth of the stone cave under the Bridge of the Hongtang Bridge, a hunting dog and a chamois were drilled, and the whole body was covered with blood and flesh, the body was completely skinless, and the hair was all scraped off, it is not difficult to imagine that they had experienced a desperate blood fight in the cave, an emergency chase, a hasty escape, stumbling in the long and tortuous black hole, stumbling, and finally injured and tired, both killed. To their astonishment, the people buried the bodies of chamois and hounds at the head of the bridge. After that, the news did not go away, people from the two places met and exchanged by chance, mentioning this matter, everyone finally understood that the Yandong Cave in Diantan was connected to the foot of the Hongtang Bridge in Mingguang.
Deep into the cave fifty or sixty meters low, according to legend, there is a dark sea, in the past, every July and August, the dark sea level rose, the fish in the dark sea will gush out along the surging dark sea, and then emerge from the cliff mouth called "water hitting the cliff" under the mountain, this fish does not see the sun all year round, thin and long, but the taste is surprisingly delicious and sweet. Therefore, the charm of this stone cave is not only in its appearance, but also in its uniqueness and yearning for adventure and curiosity enthusiasts because it has not yet been developed, mysterious and dangerous and many strange legends that haunt it.
Millions of years ago, the location of the Swallow Cave was once a vast ocean, and later through the movement of the earth's crust, the land rose, the ocean fell, coupled with the magic of nature, the carvings were exquisitely chiseled, leaving a large cave in the middle of the mountains. Later, a group of rock swallows, led by the leading swallows, flew through eighty-eight high mountains, crossed ninety-nine canyons, flew here, saw the mountains here, the water was clear, the climate was warm, and there was a natural cave as a shelter, they were very satisfied with everything here, and decided to stay. Since then, the Yanyan family has built nests and nests in the cave, built homes, had children, and bred offspring, and the cave has presented a vibrant, harmonious and peaceful scene.
Under the swallow cave mountain is a vast and flat land, and later, a group of mountain outsiders from afar also came here on a drunken spring day, they saw that the mountains were bright, the water was clear, the land was fertile, and the most important thing was that there were swallows flying freely in the air, according to the old man, there were swallows roosting in groups, and there was no doubt a good place of blessing. The gang did not hesitate to take root. They built houses under the Swallow Cave Mountain, cultivated the land, sowed grain, raised livestock, and gradually lived a good life of living and working in peace and contentment. The swallow and the people get along well, and when the farmer plows the field in the spring, the leading swallow flies to the field with its brothers and sisters to help catch insects and remove weeds; When summer came, the village was full of mosquitoes and flies, and the villagers were miserable, so the swallows flew to the village and eliminated all the mosquitoes and flies effortlessly.
Autumn came, and the heavy rice in the fields bent down laughing, but several places in the Diantan Dam were plagued by locusts, and locusts flew from all directions, and wherever they had been patronized by locusts, only bare stubble piles were left in the crop fields.
One day, a large piece of locust black pressure flew over Yandong, the vast crop field, the grainy and full of rice made the locusts salivate, they triumphantly issued a "squeaking" cry, could not wait to pounce on the crops, watching the year's hard work and sweat in vain, people stood on the edge of the field, watching the overbearing locusts dragging and plundering the fruits of their labor, everyone was indignant, but helpless, sad tears like broken beads, "Flutter ... Flutter "slips off. At the most critical moment, some people thought of the flock of swallows in the nearby swallow cave, they seemed to see the dawn of hope in the darkness, "Swallows, swallows, come and save our crops..." People shouted in unison, and the leading swallows heard the cries for help from the villagers under the mountain, and quickly led the flock of swallows to the nest, and after a tense bloody fight, all the locust bandits were wiped out and the crops were saved.
Many swallows were scratched and bitten by locusts in this battle, and the leading swallow counted the number of swallows, fortunately, there was no battle attrition. After this disaster, the villagers were more grateful to the swallows, and they picked some of the best grains and fruits they harvested, sent them to the door of the swallow cave, and solemnly repaid the swallows. The grain delivery man had not yet entered the house, and saw the swallows flying in an orderly manner, taking all the grain to the village grain field and returning it to the people. The villagers were very touched, and in order to be grateful for the kindness of the swallows, they made a village rule and people's covenant, always living in harmony with the swallows, and not allowing the swallows to be harmed at any time.
As the days passed, on a cryptuous afternoon, a sudden disaster descended from the swallow cave, and a group of brutal mountain eagles colluded with weasels, foxes, poisonous snakes and other vicious guys to rush into the swallow cave, they set fire at the mouth of the cave to seal the mouth of the cave, and then entered the cave to slaughter and kill. A nest of white raw swallow eggs were swallowed into the belly by poisonous snakes, hundreds of chicks were fed by weasels and foxes, and all adult swallows bravely engaged in tenacious hand-to-hand combat with the invading enemy under the leadership of the leading swallow, because the enemy was too ferocious and powerful, many swallows died under the sharp beaks and claws of mountain eagles, which became their meal. The whole swallow cave was covered in rivers of blood, corpses were strewn all over the ground, and the wailing was incessant.
Seeing that a cave of creatures was about to be extinct, the leading swallow with a broken head and blood rushed out of the siege and flew to the village to ask for help from the villagers, the old man held the leading swallow who was seriously injured, at this moment it had shed the last drop of blood, it pointed to the direction of the cave with its wings, and made several mournful cries in pain, dying with hatred. The villagers were furious, and all the people in the village rushed forward and backward with sticks, hoes, bamboo brooms, and shovels to the swallow hole, where the villagers sprayed the blazing flames of revenge at the hateful invaders, and all the mountain eagles, foxes, poisonous snakes, and weasels involved in the murder were beaten into meat pulp by the people's sticks. The villagers bandaged the wounds of the surviving swallows and buried the heroically dedicated leading swallow and all the unfortunate dead swallows on the platform at the mouth of the cave, allowing them to continue to help guard the endless cropland at the foot of the Swallow Cave Mountain.
