Illness, madness, and death are the angels that surround my cradle and continue to accompany me throughout my life. What we want to create is not the kind of beautiful pictures that people hang on the living room wall, but works that capture human nature, art that can pull the deepest heartstrings.

If what you want to paint is emotion, then bring all its power. Otherwise you can't sit back and gaze at the object, depicting exactly every detail you see. My whole life has been walking on the edge of a bottomless cliff, jumping from one rock to another. Sometimes I want to leave my narrow path and join the mainstream of dizzy life, but I always find myself dragged back to the edge of the cliff in a cold and merciless way until one day I finally fall into that abyss. I have been tormented by this deep sense of anxiety since I first remembered, and I have always managed to express this feeling with my art.
