Winter Soldier Barnes, eventually growing into the second "Captain America"

James Buchanan Barnes, also known as The Winter Soldier, is a Marvel Comics superhero who debuted in Captain America #1 and first appeared as Captain America Vol. 5# #1 as a Winter Warrior, co-created by Joe Simon and Jack Kobe.

Character backgrounds

As a teenager, Bucky Barnes was Captain America's buddy, helping him do less "American Idol" jobs on the battlefield, such as covert infiltrations and assassinations. During a mission (after the Red Skull), he took up the shield of the US team to resist the enemy in order to save the captain himself, but was knocked off a cliff and was later rescued by the enemy.

The former Soviet government (in the film universe was Hydra scientist Anim Zola Zola and others) installed a mechatronic arm and a human body modification for him, and used his ability to quickly learn and remember to launch the "Winter Warrior" program, training Bucky to become a blindly loyal killer "Winter Warrior".

After the Winter Warrior program, General Alexander Lukin of the former Soviet Union (the Red Skull in the film) implants a psychic controller in his brain, making him loyal like a puppet, and ordering him to assassinate some enemies - such as the head of the United States, Bucky inevitably meets Captain America again.

The two fight, at this time the captain has been hit by the Red Skull virus, naturally invincible bucky. Iron Man's missile-fired vaccine is also caught by Bucky. Bucky seems to remember something at this point, and later Captain America uses the Cosmic Cube for bucky during a duel with Bucky (the Cosmic Cube is not used in the movie), allowing Bucky to regain his memory, but he is not persuaded to join the Avengers.

Bucky then meets Nick Fury, and the two have a previous friendship, and Nick gives him equipment and more advanced electronic arms to let Bucky act on his behalf.

After marvel super heroes' "civil war", the greatest hero Captain America was stabbed to death. Bucky was both angry and confused, and he decided to fight back. He stole the shield on the way to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Transport Captain's Shield and then ambushed the Red Skull.

Before his death, Captain America leaves a letter to Iron Man Tony asking him to help Bucky grow. Bucky was taken to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s base, but he didn't like the government agency that indirectly killed the captain.

Agent S.H.I.E.L.D. removed his electronic arm and gave it to scientists to study. Scientists are surprised to find that the technology of the electronic arm is very similar to theirs, which shows that either the Nazis have undercover in Aegis or Nick Fury is secretly helping Bucky. The electronic arm knocks down several scientists and climbs the wall to Bucky's side, and Bucky escapes S.H.I.E.L.D. and gets into a big fight with Tony.

They fought each other, Bucky wasn't sure if Captain America really wanted him to be the successor, and Tony said to him you can't want to see someone else inherit the captain's name, you have to believe in yourself and so on. So Bucky proposed two conditions: 1. Scan his brain thoroughly to make sure that there is no brainwashed residue; 2. Come and go freely, and be not responsible for S.H.I.E.L.D. or Tony.

At the time of Captain America's Death, Bucky the WinterFighter became the second generation of Captain America.

He was involved in major events such as the "secret invasion". Later, former Captain America Steve Rogers was resurrected, and Bucky still used the name "Captain America". In the 2011 event "Source of Fear", Bucky is "killed" by original sin (sin, the daughter of the Red Skull), and Steve continues to serve as Captain America. Bucky didn't really die, he just claimed that he had died, and the only people who knew the secret were Nick Fury, Captain America Steve Rogers, Black Widow, and so on. Bucky continues to work as a Winter Warrior on a secret mission.

In the 2014 Marvel event "Original Sin", he succeeded Nick Fury as the "Wall Keeper", responsible for resisting alien threats and solving the invaders for the first time outside of Earth.

Character abilities

After training with Captain America, Bucky Barnes became a master of white-knife warfare, a martial arts expert, and skilled in the use of a variety of guns and grenades, and occasionally with a throwing knife. He used to be a gifted Boy Scout.

Before becoming a Winter Soldier, Barnes had been transformed into a human body by Hydra, and after falling off a cliff, Hydra trained Barnes and transformed him into a Winter Warrior.

Barnes hones himself further after becoming a Winter Soldier, allowing him to serve as a Soviet spy. He is also fluent in Chinese, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Latin and Japanese, and is also able to understand French.

As a Winter Warrior, he remained frozen and thawed before and after completing missions, making his Winter Warrior almost never get older. After being injured by the toxin of Hydra's viper lady, the Winter Warrior inoculated the infinite formula. This serum agent needs to be taken for a long time, and if it is stopped suddenly, the body will age at a very rapid rate. Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Dam bomb Dugan, and others are using the potion.

The Winter Warrior's mechanical left arm gives him superhuman strength and reaction speed, and the robotic arm can discharge the palm of his hand without touching Bucky. The Winterfighter can also control the electronic arm at a certain distance, the arm can be programmed to perform tasks automatically, and Bucky can remotely control it within a distance after the arm leaves the body. The robotic arm can also emit electromagnetic waves that interfere with the instrument, but this electromagnetic wave has no effect on Iron Man. This mechatronic arm can also block out any metal detector, no device can detect the metal reaction of the arm, and can emit holograms to mask it as a flesh-and-blood arm.

As the second-generation Captain America, Bucky owns the shield of the original Captain America, Steve, and his combat suit is a shock-absorbing costume.
