Recently, the Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation and the Institute of Financial and Economic Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences jointly held a seminar on the construction of a modern tax system in Shenzhen, a pioneering demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
At the meeting, a number of experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the China International Taxation Research Association and other units conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with members of the Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau and more than 20 business backbones. Gao Peiyong, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said that Shenzhen taxation should focus on the establishment of a local tax system as an important goal of serving the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country, and build a local tax system that can assume the role of the foundation and important pillar of national governance. At the same time, to do a good job in the construction of Shenzhen's local tax system, we must clarify the important position of Shenzhen's "first to try first" and clarify the practical significance of the tax-sharing system and the financial management system.
Zhang Zhiyong, president of the China International Taxation Research Association and former deputy director of the State Administration of Taxation, made a remote speech, suggesting that the construction of the local tax system in Shenzhen, a pioneering demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics, should boldly learn from international experience and connect with the comprehensive reform of the demonstration area.
Zhang Guojun, secretary of the party committee and director of the Shenzhen Municipal Taxation Bureau, believes that as a modern international metropolis, the tax department should build a tax collection and management system that matches the previous demonstration, and actively explore a local tax system that can be copied and promoted.
Experts and scholars attending the meeting said that Shenzhen needs stable and solid financial support to promote the construction of the pilot demonstration zone, take the lead in the construction of the local tax system, and strive to create a replicable and generalizable model in the country in exploring the local tax management system, and actively carry out cutting-edge exploration and research.
