Yuquan Mountain is not only a scenic spot on the outskirts of Lianjiang, but also a famous red sacred place such as "Yushan Tingquan", "Baohua Qinglan", "Carp Chaotian" and strange rocks such as Feilai Stone, Tianzhu Peak, pinshi rock, as well as thousand-year-old temples, pavilions and pavilions, and princely general Xiangmo Cliff inscriptions.
On October 29, 1930 (the eighth day of the ninth lunar month), the Fuzhou Municipal CPC Committee (Xingju) sent Chen Zongyuan, director of the Organization Department, to Lianjiang to preside over the first meeting of party members in Lianjiang County at Chengguan Gongting in Chengxi, where 8 communist party members, including Yang Erchang, Chen Xiangrong, Zheng Houqing, Zheng Houkang, Huang Yinglong, Huang Maoxiong, Yang Hui, and Liang Renqin, gathered in the pavilion to establish the Lianjiang County Action Committee (County Committee) of the CPC, and in November rebuilt the Lianjiang County CPC Committee, and the first secretary of the county party committee, Yang Erchang, was rebuilt. Since then, under the leadership of the party, the people of Lianjiang have launched a vigorous agrarian revolution, turning a brand-new page in history. In the middle of the Guangong Pavilion stands a bluestone red inscription, which records the history of the growth of the Lianjiang Party organization.
The Lianjiang County Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery stands majestically on the Yuquan Mountain adjacent to the Guangong Pavilion. At the entrance of the park avenue, an antique three-door archway, six stone pillars, inlaid with bluestone panels, gorgeous dignity. The top of the pillar is carved with dragons and phoenixes, which is simple and generous. Fang Lian's "blood sprinkled on the three rivers to open the country and the great achievements of the history, and the pride and emotions stirred up the great cause of rejuvenating the country and comforting the heroic souls", expressing the infinite admiration and remembrance of the people of the county for the revolutionary martyrs.
The stone carvings of the Lianjiang Red Culture Corridor are displayed along the foothills of the mountain, and the three-dimensional pictures of "strengthening the armed forces of workers and peasants to establish a red regime," "the advance detachment of the Red Army marching north to resist Japan passed through Lianjiang," "the struggle for autumn harvest and rent reduction and the peasant rebellion in The Fortress," "Raising the Red Flag in Heshan Mountain," and "The Army and the People Fighting Against Japan and Saving the Dead with One Heart" condensed several important nodes in the course of the Red Revolution in Lianjiang, and guided people to recall the enduring hardships and brilliant historical facts.
Climb up the more than 100 stone steps to reach the second platform, and there is a Memorial Park for the Martyrs of Yang Erchang in the east. To the west, the building is known as the Chen Kezhu Martyrs Memorial Park. In the park, the glorious statues of the martyrs Yang Erchang and Chen Kezhu are erected, closely following the red theme of the beacon years, combined with the display boards and three-dimensional shapes with pictures and texts, to display the revolutionary hero's firm stand and fearless revolutionary spirit.
On the third floor of the cemetery, the Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs of Lianjiang stands at the top of the Xiangyang slope of Hutou Lingnan in Yuquan Mountain. The Optimus Prime-like square granite stele is 28 meters high, sitting west and facing east, standing tall and imposing. On the front of the stele, there are 9 large characters inscribed by General Yang Chengwu, a revolutionary of the older generation, "Monument to the Martyrs of the Lianjiang Revolution"; on the back of the stele is the inscription of Ye Fei, the founding general who commanded the agrarian revolution in Lianjiang: "The martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the people's liberation are immortal." Facing the Martyrs' Monument, reverence arises. On the four sides of the stele, four redstone reliefs are engraved with the feats of the Guangzhou Uprising of the "Ten Martyrs of Lianjiang" with blue blood and yellow flowers, the martyr Yang Erchang leading the Tobao Rebellion, the military and the people resisting the Japanese invaders, and the "8.16" Lianjiang County Liberation Day, condensing the glorious deeds and historical facts of the revolutionary struggle of the people of Lianjiang in different periods. At the top of the monument, two giant hands are sculpted, and a stainless steel red heart is held, which means that all people are one heart.
Climbing to the top floor of the high-level martyrs' cemetery, the Lianjiang Revolutionary History Memorial Hall, the Yuquan Mountain Martyrs' Cemetery, and the Lianjiang County Anti-Japanese War Heroic Martyrs' Memorial Room are like a vast historical library of fascinating literature. Between entry and exit, the image of revolutionary heroes and martyrs of "a lifetime of blue blood and green history, and the heart of the ancient Dan cast the soul of the country" is deeply rooted in the brain and hot blood. Every Qingming Festival, villagers will come here to pay tribute to their relatives in the most simple way and send mourning. "Carry forward the revolutionary tradition and strive for greater glory" has been integrated into the blood and turned into practice.
Yuquan Mountain is the closest to the county seat and pitches over Chengguan. On August 16, 1949, after gunfire and smoke, the whole territory of Lianjiang was liberated on land. On Yuquan Mountain, we witnessed the battle flag of the People's Liberation Army being planted on the county tower and witnessing the collapse of the reactionary regime. According to historical records, 854 heroic martyrs have sprung up on the red hot land of Lianjiang, such as Yang Erchang, Chen Xiangrong, Chen Maochang, Lin Xiaoji, Liang Yingqin, Chen Kezhu, and other revolutionary heroes, in the long years, for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the happiness of the people, resolutely marched to the battlefield of blood and fire, and waged a deadly struggle and struggle against the dark society and the reactionary forces. They followed each other, regarded death as a homecoming, and composed a tragic battle song with youth and blood.
Yuquan Mountain still clearly remembers: Deng Zihui, Tao Zhu, Xun Huaizhou, Su Yu, Ye Fei, Zeng Zhi, and other old revolutionary predecessors have left footprints on the land of Lianjiang, and their heroic ability and wisdom in guiding the revolutionary struggle are still relished by the people and will never be forgotten. Their lofty image will always be engraved in the hearts of the people of Lianjiang. (Nguyen Dao Ming)
