Since the Ministry of Public Security launched the "reunion" operation, the Jincheng police have repeatedly combed through the information of suspected abducted children in their jurisdiction and searched for missing abducted children. After extracting, testing, and comparing information on suspected missing or abducted persons, the Criminal Technology Detachment of the Jincheng City Public Security Bureau confirmed that Wang Mouhao, a man from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, was Lei's 23-year-old son.

On October 18, the Zezhou County Public Security Bureau held an on-site recognition of relatives. At the moment of meeting, Lei Moumou shouted "My son." Mother and son, who had been separated for 23 years, hugged and wept. After Lei Moumou stabilized his emotions, he took out a number of photos of Wang Mou's childhood from his pocket and told his son that he had not given up looking for him for a day.

Jincheng police called on the public to pay attention to the "reunion" operation of the public security organs, and mobilized more parents of missing abducted children or suspected abductees to collect DNA information from the public security organs, so that more missing abducted children could return home as soon as possible.
