"Benchmark Man" Sting was inducted into the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame!

WWE released the following statement announcing the first member of the 2016 Annual Hall of Fame:

After 14 years of waiting, wrestling fans finally waited for Sting to compete in WWE in 2015, and he competed on WWE's biggest stage, Wrestlemania 31, making up for the missing medal for his legend. The day before the 2016 Wrestling Mania 32 contest, Sting will receive a higher honor, and he is the first member of this year's WWE Hall of Fame. ”

"We are deeply honored that Sting has been named," said WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Live Event Creative, Paul Lyvesk (Triple H). "He has made an unprecedented contribution to our industry and we look forward to celebrating his wonderful career in the Hall of Fame with our fans."

For inductance into the Hall of Fame, Sting tweeted the following statement:

"It's officially finalized – I accepted WWE's invitation to be inducted into the Hall of Fame! I am deeply honored!!! ”

The 2016 WWE Hall of Fame Festival will be held the day before Wrestling Mania 32, on April 3.
