China Aquatic Products Channel exclusively reported, (May 16, Shanghai) On the afternoon of May 16, ASC (Aquaculture Management Committee) and four certified enterprises debuted at the 2018 China International Food and Beverage Exhibition (sial china 2018) to provide professional guests with a high-end, sustainable seafood tasting feast, and jointly create an environmentally friendly, healthy and safe "fresh life".

As the world's most stringent and transparent gold standard for aquaculture, ASC promotes a sustainable transformation of the aquaculture industry in terms of environmental and social responsibility through certified farms, production and marketing supply chains and products. At present, ASC has certified nearly 600 farms and nearly 1500 processing enterprises in 37 countries around the world, covering eight major species and using ASC eco-label products.

In this "Fresh Life" exhibition, ASC brought a lot of healthy and safe aquatic products, most of which are produced in China, including the world's first Ezo scallop from Dalian Ocean Island that has passed asc Ezo scallop certification, the first asc variegated clam in East Asia to pass asc variegated clam certification in Liaoning Ande, and the asc certified tilapia produced by Guangxi BAHEAL Group, the world's largest tilapia company. In addition, Dalian Ruichi, which has obtained asc chain of custody certification, also presented asc certified Atlantic salmon and Penaeus vannamei to a wide range of professional audiences.

"Now more than half of the world's seafood and aquatic products are farmed, and in China, this figure is more than 60%." Fang Qing, manager of ASC China, said, "Asc Standard ensures that aquaculture products are traceable, sustainable and responsibly produced from farm to table through the scientific standards set up by its multi-party participation, performance-based evaluation system, and open and transparent procedures for third-party certification."

Under the theme of "Eat fish well, eat good fish, asc please eat fish well", the host, Mr. Ye Xin of the China Aquatic Products Circulation and Processing Association, introduced the rich nutritional value of salmon, White Shrimp, Tilapia, Ezo scallops, variegated clams and other aquatic products, and representatives from various enterprises also shared how they strictly abide by asc standards in production, processing and circulation. More than 100 professional guests tasted the cuisines of Chef Jin Liang, Senior Culinary Consultant of Canadian and Norwegian Seafood and Master Chef of Chinese Cuisine, while discussing the vision and future of international sustainable seafood.

Dalian Ocean Island Group is the first enterprise in the world to pass asc Ezo scallop certification.
