This is an atypical Work by Wu Yusen. Wu Yusen, who is known for his violent aesthetics, does not render violence in this film. There is not much blood seen throughout the film, which can be said to be amazing. The style of the film is relaxed and romantic, and even adds funny bridges to the decisive battle.
Compared with the bitter and vengeful gangster films such as "Blood Street" and "Hero Nature", "Across the Sea" is rarely relaxed.
Because of this ease, Wu Yusen inadvertently left the best Zhou Runfa, Zhang Guorong, and Zhong Chuhong. The three of them are frozen in this movie. "Across the Seas" is the most romantic Hong Kong movie in my heart. Romance is the whimsical ideas that run through the film, the beauty of the beauty, and those delicate careful thoughts.
