Harpsichordist Jiang Yushan will present Bach's masterpiece "The Art of Fugue"

In Jiang Yushan's mind, the Art of Fugue goes like this: "For a long time, the Art of Fugue was regarded only as an experimental work by Bach to explore all the possibilities of counterpoint art. Many consider it to be an excellent and ultimate counterpoint: it exhausts almost all forms and styles—reverse, mirror, multiple fugues, and so on—but it is only in recent decades that it has re-recognized its superordinarily musicality. The deeper you go, the more you can discover its incomparable ingenuity and greatness. It is interlocked like a bucket arch, extremely complex and extremely simple; and like a kaleidoscope, it develops the most colorful and magnificent colors and textures with simple elements, and finally comes to an abrupt end after the composer's own name b-a-c-h music appears - this is Bach's masterpiece. ”

Jiang Yushan, a harpsichordist and organist, graduated from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany, and the Higher Conservatory of Music in Zurich, Switzerland, and won the Silver Medal of the Köhler Osbal Music Competition in Germany, making him the first Chinese harpsichordist to win the award.
