Lianfeng Academy

Liang Garden
Liang Garden is the general name of Foshan Liang's Residence Garden, which is mainly composed of multiple groups in different locations such as "Twelve Stone Zhai", "Qunxing Caotang", "Fenjiang Caolu", "Hanxiangguan" and so on, with a grand scale, and the main body is located on the Pioneer Ancient Road of Songfeng Road. Foshan Hongsheng Pavilion was founded in the first year of Qing Xianfeng (1851), originally known as Foshan Cai Li Fo Wu Guan. In the early years of Guangxu, Zhang Yan, a proud disciple of Chen Xiang, the founder of Cai Li Fo Quan, took over as the owner of the museum and changed its name to Hongsheng Hall. In the 98 years from its establishment to its closure in 1949, Hongshengguan has cultivated martial arts talents such as Chen Sheng, Lei Can, Huang Kuan, Li En, Chen Mian, Li Su, Tan Li, Zhang Sanbing, Qian Weifang, Wu Qin, etc., and is one of the longest established martial arts halls in China and the largest number of people.
Renshou Temple
Renshou Temple, located on Zumiao Road, is a Buddhist temple closely related to Foshan and Chancheng. In the thirteenth year of Qing Shunzhi (1656), it was first built by the Tantric Guru Zhongtang, and together with the Tapo Temple, Deokshou Temple, and Sanyuan Temple at that time, it was called the four jungles of Foshan. During the Shunzhi period, the State Master Yulin Tongxuan Zen Master presided over the collection of donations and the rebuilding of the mountain gate in the eighth year of the Qing Kangxi Dynasty (1669). During the Daoguang years, due to the long shortage of food for the monks of Renshou Temple and the decline of the French fortunes, the abbot of Hualin Temple in Guangzhou, Shi Renji (Gion), was invited by the officials and gentry of Foshan to raise funds to rebuild Renshou Temple. In the first year of Xianfeng (1851), the project was completed. After several degrees of repair, the scale of the temple is even larger than before, from the front to the bridgehead of General Foshan Yong, the rear to The End of Wenhua Liwei, the left side of Zhennan Street, and the right lian Sanguan Street. In addition to the four main halls, there are still 99 apse halls, left and right side halls, Longhua Hall, Abbot's Room, Zhai Hall, Guest Hall, and 99 monks' houses and a garden. In 1935, Li Peixian, a disciple of Buddhism in Foshan Buddhism, donated funds to build a seven-story Ruyi Pagoda in the garden, and in 1938, the monk of The Void Cloud personally presided over the opening ceremony, which was very popular. This pagoda is quite distinctive, the tower is a seven-story octagonal Han-style pagoda with Tibetan inscription plaques, and there are more than ten porcelain Buddha statues in the pagoda, of which the red and green Tara Buddha statue is a work of Shiwan Guanhua pottery kiln, hand-molded by The famous Shiwan pottery artist Pan Yushu. At this time, there is also a monument memorial pavilion in the park, and Renshou Temple can be said to have reached the peak of history.
