The birth of the Kunqu Opera Transmission Institute has been a hundred years ago, and this small school has produced 44 old artists of the Chuanzi generation, and this year happens to be their centennial art. A series of performances, exhibitions, seminars and other activities have brought this celebration to a climax, and people can't help but wonder, what is the core of our commemoration of the centenary of the institute's birth today?
Yesterday, the Shanghai Art Research Center and the Shanghai Jingkun Art Development Advisory Committee jointly held a symposium on "My 'Chuan' Teachers and Teachers". More than 10 kunda class and kun second class national treasure level old artists discussed the historical significance of kunqu opera chuanzi artists for artistic inheritance from an academic point of view, reviewed the sincere teachings of the chuanzi teachers from the bits and pieces of their academic life, and thanked the deep friendship with their teachers.
Ma Bomin, director of the Shanghai Jingkun Art Development Advisory Committee, believes that the core of the commemoration of future generations lies in inheriting and carrying forward the professionalism of the teachers of the "chuan" generation, the spirit of excellence in art, and the spirit of selfless promotion for future generations, inheriting and developing kunqu art, and the rich literary heritage and performance heritage make more outstanding actors and works on the kunqu opera stage today.
In the middle of summer many years ago, Cai Zhengren of Kundaban was still following Shen Chuanzhi to learn "Serial Record - Combing and Throwing". Shen Chuanzhi wore an undershirt and pants, took a stick to teach the body, not only to teach Xiaosheng, but also to teach Boudoir Dan, sweating profusely: "I am not so tired when I take care of my son." ”
In the last few years of Zhou Chuanying's serious illness, he also taught Cai Zhengren to learn "Qiao Vinegar" on the hospital bed, watching the teacher vomit blood, Cai Zhengren was too unwilling to go, every day the teacher lay on the bed to dictate, he performed, the teacher nodded, Cai Zhengren taught to other students in the afternoon, and then in the evening with Zhang Jingxian of the second class of Kun to find Shen Chuanzhi to correct. Cai Zhengren sighed: "Today we have come to commemorate the teachers of the Chuanzi generation, we must not forget their teachings, we must continue to carry forward the skills of the teachers and cultivate better successors." ”
"The teachers of the Chuanzi generation teach drama to talk about the heart and the characters. Teacher Zheng Chuanjie's words inspired me that the important thing for an actor is what to act like. As a result, Ji Zhenhua of Kundaban was handy when he later portrayed the role. In particular, Ji Zhenhua was deeply impressed by zheng Chuanjie, who once said that he hoped that the students would not be like him, "This is to encourage us to recreate, not to blindly imitate, to have new ideas on the stage, to keep the tradition, to innovate, these eight words point out the expectations of the teachers of the Chuanzi generation for our students." ”
At that time, most of the people who studied Kunqu opera were to find a source of livelihood and did not know what Kunju was. Zhang Mingrong of Kunda Class admitted that he was the boss of the "Eight Tigers of the Zhang Family", and when he took the entrance examination, he would not know anything and could not sit still. Zhou Chuancang saw that this child was so active and suitable for a small flower face, so he set a lifelong career for Zhang Mingrong: a clown. Zhang Mingrong therefore regarded Zhou Chuancang as his guide to the art.
Liang Guyin of Kunda's class also feels the same way, and the teachers are not only artists, but also educators. Knowing that Liang Guyin's father had died and his mother was not around, Shen Chuanzhi took Liang Guyin home for the summer vacation. Shen Chuanzhi's children ate green vegetable noodles, and Liang Guyin followed the teacher to eat shrimp. Liang Guyin said: "I really hope he can see me 80 years old and still be able to be healthy on the stage, it should be a comfort to him, he gave me trust." ”
Later, the students of Kunda class and Kun second class also became teachers. Yue Meiti of Kunda Class remembers that teacher Shen Chuanzhi led her to run round and take steps in front, and she followed the shadow left behind. When Yue Meiti began to take the students, she came up and walked in front, and the students were in the back, and this shadow was always folded, "This is kunqu opera that connects us for generations."
