Since the "October Revolution", Tsarist Russia, a country with a long history and relative backwardness, has been renamed the Soviet Union and has been full of vitality; but the history of the Growth of the Soviet Union has been quite bumpy, at least until the end of World War II, the country has been in turmoil and war, and it is difficult to have a stable and peaceful development time. But it was in this situation that the Soviet people gritted their teeth, united as one, and survived one difficulty after another in the process of continuous development, until they became the top superpowers in the world.

Many people only see the glorious side of the Soviet Union, and even accuse the Soviet Union of hegemony, just as the so-called "without the suffering of others, do not persuade people to be kind", when the Soviet Union was first established, the United States and Britain and other Western countries vigorously supported the old forces of Tsarist Russia in an attempt to overthrow the Soviet regime. In the face of the great threat, the Soviet people did not compromise, and thus the two sides launched a vigorous war, which is known in history as the "Soviet-Russian Civil War", which, although rarely described in history, was carried out very tragically.
The Soviet side mobilized a total of 2.7 million troops and 100,000 Ukrainian fronts; while the old Russian forces had 2.4 million troops and 700,000 Allied intervention forces; as a result, the Soviet Union finally defeated the old Tsarist forces after nearly two million casualties, and the old Russian forces suffered at least 1.7 million casualties; in addition, during the war between the two sides, a large number of civilians were affected, according to incomplete statistics, at least 9 million civilians died in the war.
Whether it is the soldiers killed or injured in the Soviet Union, the soldiers who were killed or injured by the old forces of Tsarist Russia, and the civilians affected by the war, it was the newly established Soviet government that finally came to bear all this. War is cruel, but in the cruel war, there is an army that has become an eternal legend, this army is the famous Soviet Cavalry First Army, the founder is Marshal Budyonny, who has more than 70 years of military experience.
The story of Marshal Budyonny himself is a legend, he came from a poor peasant family, and by unremitting efforts and luck, he became a Cossack cavalry and joined the Coastal Dragoon Regiment; and he joined the Soviet Union very early and became a very famous figure in the army. But the most profound influence on the life of Marshal Budyonny was Frunze, who was a true talent, and Frunze had a major influence on the formation of Budyonny's worldview and the choice of life path.
After the outbreak of the war, the demobilized Budyonny and his former comrades reorganized a cavalry detachment, which, for its outstanding performance, was appreciated by Stalin, and then this cavalry force expanded rapidly, and the troops were expanded into the First Cavalry Army; at that time, this cavalry army was full of talents, in addition to Budyonny, who was the commander of the army, there were Voroshilov, Kulik, Temusingo, Rokossovsky, Zhukov, and so on.
With the further expansion of the war, the First Cavalry Army also made great achievements in the war, and the size of the army was further expanded, until it became the First Cavalry Army, and also became the most prominent "fist" unit at that time; and Frunze also gave a high degree of praise and recognition when evaluating the role of the First Cavalry Army, the most crucial sentence of which was "its successive battles will forever be recorded in the annals of cavalry history with glorious chapters."
Although this legendary cavalry unit was disbanded, many outstanding talents were born from this army. In 1935, Budyonny and Voroshilov were promoted to marshals; in 1940, Timoshenko and Kulik were promoted to marshals; in 1943, Zhukov was promoted to marshal; in 1944, Rokossovsky was promoted to marshal; in 1955, Yeliamenko, Moskalenko, and Grechko were promoted to marshals.
In addition, there are marshals of the armored corps Rybarko, marshals of the armored corps Fedolenko, commanders of the air force Zhigalev, marshals of the signal corps Leonov, in the Soviet establishment, in fact, the marshals are divided into three levels, the highest is the marshal, followed by the commanders of the various branches of the army, and finally the marshals of the arms; so it can also be regarded as marshals, if you count it, from the first cavalry army, there are a total of 13 marshals, of which the highest level of marshals is 9, to know that in the history of the Soviet Union, the Marshals of the Soviet Union are only 40 in total.
Do you think this is the end? Obviously not, some people, although they did not become marshals, were not low in rank, such as Apanachenko (general), Gorodovikov (cavalry director, admiral), Khurev (general, general of the General Logistics), Shakenko (general), Tyulenev (general), Ryabéshev (lieutenant general, commander of the Southern Front), Romanenko (general, commander of the Eastern Siberian military district), Lopatin (general), Lelyuschenko (general, commander of the Ural military district), Zadov (general, director of the Frunze Military Academy), and so on And the author of "How Steel is Made" is also from the First Cavalry Army.
It seems that the abundance of talents is no longer enough to describe this legendary army, it should be said that it is "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"; so many marshals and generals are simply in charge of more than half of the Soviet army. Many people say that the First Cavalry Army achieved such a proud achievement because of Stalin. Or have you not worked for a large company? No ability, no achievements, even if there is a relationship, the leader does not dare to promote you; I think some people will say That Kulik, in fact, Kulik's performance before the outbreak of the Soviet-German war was still very good, but the thinking could not keep up with the development of the times.
