Therefore, every year, many Chinese people will travel thousands of miles, cross the ocean, and spend a lot of money to go to Kenya to photograph animals
Doesn't there be such a place in our own country where wildlife can be photographed? Of course, there are, in fact, there are many, in the vast western land of China, there are many deserted and inhabited places, where there are many wild animals.
Just not too many years ago poaching, too many wild animals in China were killed by poachers, listen to friends in Qinghai Mangya, in the past, those poachers directly with machine guns to strafe at the flocks of wild animals, in a few minutes to hunt hundreds of thousands of heads, these poachers only want their skins or horns, and after they leave, the grassland will leave unbearable animal remains, either peeled off, or cut off horns.
However, with the improvement of conservation interest in recent years, the state has also increased the protection of wild animals and the crackdown on poachers, and now the number of wild animals in several major nature reserves in China is recovering.
In the 2017 "Snowy Kunlun, Walking on the Cliffs" activity, when we crossed the Qaidam Basin and the no-man's land in the hinterland of Kunlun Mountain, we saw a large number of wild animals, including rock sheep, yellow sheep, Tibetan antelope, camels, Tibetan wild donkeys, etc.
While we were resting in the grass, a wild donkey came to walk around us, but we were not afraid at all.
Along the way, we also encountered bison many times, but the distance was relatively far, and the shooting effect was not very good
In the distant valley, there are herds of bison, we can only watch from a distance, do not dare to get too close, the bison is an extremely fierce animal, if he is not nu, a head crash, the car will be knocked away for a long distance.
And the Tibetan antelope has been found many times
We went in July, local friends said that the season is not right, the summer is hot, these wild animals have gone into the mountains, so it is not easy to see, if it snows in the mountains, you will see a large number of wild animals under the mountain.
According to local friends, there are 359 species of wild animals living in the nature reserve in the hinterland of Kunlun Mountain, of which 30 species are telluriums, 79 species of birds and 250 species of insects (2 new species have been discovered). There are 12 species of national first-class protected animals and 17 species of national second-class protected animals. In the reserve, 267 species of highland plants have been found, belonging to 83 genera in 30 families and 17 new subspecies.
The climate of the reserve is cold, dry and windy, the evaporation is strong, there is no frost-free period throughout the year, there is no distinction between four seasons, only the difference between cold and warm, the warm season is short and ambiguous, the Tibetan wild donkey in the reserve, wet at the same time, the cold season is long dry and cold.
The annual precipitation here is about 300 mm and the average annual temperature is below 0 °C. The air in the area is pure, the sun is strong, the weather is changeable as described in the "wear a leather jacket early and wear a yarn at noon", the day is suddenly hot and hot, turning to the wind and snow, suddenly thunder and lightning, and suddenly hail suddenly falling, which is elusive.
The reserve is rich in animal resources, and there are 65 species of higher wild vertebrates known, including 1 species of reptiles, 39 species of birds of 21 families, and 25 species of 10 families of mammals. There are 8 kinds of national protected animals: wild yak, Tibetan wild donkey, Tibetan antelope, black-necked crane, bearded vulture and golden eagle; the national second-class protected animals include: brown bear, stone marten, lynx, jackal, rabbit, pan sheep, rock sheep, Tibetan harrier, vulture, alpine vulture, Tibetan snow chicken, falcon and other 12 species.
The remains of various animals can be seen everywhere in the area
According to local friends, after many investigations, it is estimated that there are about 2,500 wild yaks, 20,000 Tibetan wild donkeys, and about 40,000 Tibetan antelopes in the reserve. So it's true that calling kenya in China is also true.
