The works of these masters of art will be seen by the citizens of Guangzhou in December! The 21st Guangzhou International Art Fair (hereinafter referred to as "Guangzhou Art Fair") will be held from December 2 to 5 at the Guangzhou Pazhou Canton Fair in Guangzhou. At that time, there will be 20,000 original works of art by many famous artists at home and abroad. Among them, Picasso's 3 million-dollar red pottery print "Lunch on the Grass", which is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, will be exhibited on the spot, which is reported to be the first time that the work has been unveiled in Asia.

350 art institutions from around the world appeared

Guangzhou Art Fair is an international event for the display, exchange and trading of artworks, and this year is the 21st. Peng Wenbin, artistic director of Guangzhou Art Fair, introduced that the theme of this art fair is "art wind direction and art life", the exhibition scale is nearly 30,000 square meters, and the scene is divided into 3 exhibition halls (international pavilion, classic hall, collection hall), 8 exhibition areas, and it is expected to bring together 20,000 original art works from 35 countries and regions, including Chinese painting, oil painting, sculpture, printmaking, arts and crafts, intangible cultural heritage, etc.

"This year's art fair gathers the works of art masters from all over the world, with 350 art institutions from all over the world appearing, of which foreign art institutions account for 30%." Peng Wenbin introduced that the audience can see the world-renowned classic works of Zao Wou-Ki, Zhang Daqian, Picasso, Dali, Qi Baishi, Van Gogh, as well as the fine works of nearly 100 overseas excellent art institutions from the United States, France, Italy and other countries.

Five theme exhibitions with local characteristics will be held

The reporter learned that this year's art fair also pays attention to the exchange of art between the north and the south, and will hold five major theme exhibitions with local characteristics. Lingnan art institutions represented by Wenli Yitang, Xiaozhou Art District, Lingnan Arts and Crafts Art Museum, etc. will gather together to use their works to sort out the context of the north-south exchanges between Chinese paintings in the past hundred years. Among them, the "Lingnan Literary Context - Contemporary Chinese Painting Exhibition" sponsored by Wenli Yitang will gather the fine works of the older generation of artists (Guan Shanyue, Li Xiongcai, Yang Zhiguang), as well as the new works or representative works of more than 20 artists such as Lin Yong, Lin Fengfeng, Chen Yongjun, Fang Chuxiong, Xu Qinsong, Li Jinkun, Fang Tu and other artists. In addition, it also introduces a group of cutting-edge artists full of artistic vitality and artistic personality.

It is worth mentioning that this year's art fair will hold the "Belt and Road Peak Art Invitation Exhibition", inviting the "Belt and Road" countries to participate in the exhibition, and has successfully invited 18 countries such as Russia, Egypt, and Thailand to participate.
