June 2, 2014 (Reporter Xu Yin) From the "9.18 Case Investigation Documentary" in 1994, the "Red Spider" in 1999, the "Conquest" in 2003, to the "Mekong River Case" in 2014, the "Icebreaker Action" in 2019... Director and screenwriter Chen Yuxin can be said to have witnessed the development and changes of Chinese dramas involved in the past 30 years. Nowadays, another major case-related drama "Burning", written and directed by Chen Yuxin, is being broadcast, "7 years ago there was a plan for this drama, honestly speaking, it is much more difficult than the previous case-related dramas, so many years I have not given up the brewing work of this theme, and now it is finally broadcast", Chen Yuxin admitted in an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Network on the 2nd, and the mood at this moment is a little emotional.
It is reported that the Criminal Investigation Bureau's "Burning" is directed by Chen Yuxin, starring Jing Chao, Zhang Jianning, Xi Meijuan, Tan Kai, Wu Junmei and so on. The drama starts from a 30-year-old case, and restores the image of three generations of public security police who have made unremitting efforts to pursue the truth and defend justice in a realistic style. Through the perspective of rejuvenation, the positive energy of youth's blood pursuit is transmitted, so that the faith and the original intention of adhering to justice can be inherited and carried forward among young audiences.
"'Burning' was actually called 'New Police Family' at the beginning, which was a task given to me by the Propaganda Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security 7 years ago. At that time, they only gave a topic and wanted to write a story about a police family. After I received this task, I was a little confused, because I had to write three generations of policemen, and there was no real case to rely on. Later, I first did "The Great Case of the Mekong River" and "Icebreaker Action", in the process, I interviewed a large number of public security policemen and came into contact with a lot of stories", although it was almost "difficult to give birth", but Chen Yuxin still "portrayed" these characters in the play today in the process of continuous interviews and exploration, and slowly formed the core that I want to express at present.
As an "old master" in the field of dramas involved in the case, Chen Yuxin said that the completion of the new drama was indeed quite painstaking. In fact, there are many types of dramas involved in the case, in addition to criminal investigation dramas, there are also anti-drug, triad-related, counter-terrorism, and investigation types, "other types have gangs, such as drug trafficking organizations, terrorist organizations, etc., but criminal investigation dramas are mainly individual crimes, and there are few organizations." Organized is relatively easy to write, because there is a division of labor, there are undercover, wired people, etc., but individual crimes, can only focus the camera on the characters, individual crimes may be premeditated, may just be crimes of passion."
"Burning" runs through the entire creation with the spirit of realism, the characters do not force "open and hang", the plot is not overly "reversed", and in a rigorous and real way, it shows how the protagonist Gao Feng and the police start from a small clue. Speaking of the public's preference for watching the dramas involved in the case today, Chen Yuxin said that as a genre drama that the audience likes, there will be an established pattern when choosing to watch such dramas, and in the dramas involved in the case, the intensity and tortuous degree are a preset premise for the audience to love such dramas. But Chen Yuxin feels that this intensity is endless, "at present, more and more dramas involved in the case have shown a routine situation, sometimes the script is only reversed for the sake of reversal, suspense for suspense, and finally often give up the characters for these." In Chen Yuxin's view, the drama involved in the case must write characters and show human nature, such as human crime, many of which are caused by desire, and all depravity is because of a small motive and desire, "just like Nietzsche said: When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss is also staring at you."
"Burning" tells the story of positive energy values, maximizing the breadth of the audience and the depth of reach. "I hope to help the audience understand and agree with the people's police's mission of punishing evil and promoting good and upholding justice while appreciating the story in an 'immersive' way, and I look forward to everyone having a deeper understanding and understanding of the people's police through the play," Chen Yuxin said.
