Roberto Carlos Exclusive: Global Ambassadors for Friendly Football Tournaments take on questions from young contestants from around the world

MOSCOW, May 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Roberto Carlos, a former Brazilian national team player who has won the Champions League several times and is a global ambassador for Gazprom's international children's social program "F4F" event, joined young players and young journalists involved in the project to an exclusive press conference where he spoke about his life, career and commitment to F4F.

Roberto Carlos won the World Championship in 2002 as a member of the Brazilian national team with his teammates and won the UEFA Champions League three times with Real Madrid. He is currently a youth coach for Real Madrid. In addition, he has been a global ambassador for friendly football since 2020.

When asked about his most famous goals, he thought they were free kicks from France in June 1997 and from cd Fenerife in February 1998. The Brazilian national team and Real Madrid in 2002 were his favourites.

Coming from a poor family, he wanted to become a lawyer when he was 12 years old. But then soon everything changed. During his football career in Brazil, he participated in the national team and was invited to Europe. His family has always been his strong backer.

Everything went well in his life, both professionally and personally. He never felt afraid. He certainly has his own dreams. For example, he could build a house for his parents. Teamwork is an important prerequisite for success. The reason he loves f4f is simple, because so many young people can meet and communicate with each other here.

The ninth f4f will be held digitally from May 14 to 29, 2021. Young players aged 12 in more than 200 countries will compete in the 2021 Friendship Soccer Electronic World Championship. The game will be played on the football simulator "f4f world".

Young journalists will cover the events of the ninth F4F event at the International Children's News Centre and share with friends the main values of the project: friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, dedication, achievement, tradition and honor.
