The Great Flamingo was recorded for the first time in Wuhan Shenhu

On the evening of November 3, when operating the "Wisdom Shenhu" monitoring system, the staff of the Shenhu Wetland Nature Reserve in Wuhan, Hubei Province, saw a water bird that "looks strange and has not been seen in ordinary times" from the camera of the Dazhi embankment tower, and mixed with pelicans and geese birds to forage in one place, but its appearance is unique, very eye-catching, and it is identified as a large red stork by the system. According to reports, the great red stork, also known as the great flamingo, is widely distributed in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the South Asian subcontinent and other places, and occasionally sees lost birds in many provinces along the western, central and eastern coasts of China. Some scholars believe that the great red stork found in China migrated to China from the nearby Central-South Asian population due to climate change, population increase or original habitat destruction.
