At the recent National Ethnic Unity and Progress Commendation Conference, two collectives and two individuals in our city were awarded the title of Model of National Unity and Progress by the State Council.
Among them, the Municipal Manchu Museum and Leyard Catering Co., Ltd. were awarded the title of National Model Collective of National Unity and Progress; Jin Shu, president of the Municipal Chia Tai International Hospital, and Li Yanming, director of the Municipal Ethnic Affairs Committee and secretary of the party leading group, were awarded the title of National Ethnic Unity and Progress Model Individual. Cao Ping, general manager of Leyard Catering Co., Ltd., went to Beijing to attend the meeting on behalf of the commended model collectives and model individuals in the city, and was invited to participate in the ceremony activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China.

Since the establishment of the hospital, Jin Shu, president of Chia Tai International Hospital, has set up a ward with Korean characteristics, adopted bilingual guidance, insisted on free physical examinations for korean elderly people for more than 10 years, donated to the city's Korean folk culture festival for 18 consecutive years, and accumulated more than 5 million yuan worth of donations, donations, and medical fee reductions for ethnic minority social groups and social charities. In the first half of this year alone, Chia Tai International Hospital has visited ethnic minority villages for free clinics 12 times, benefiting more than 1,000 villagers. In 2015, the hospital was named a demonstration unit of national unity and progress by the Provincial Nationalities Committee, identified by the Citizens' Committee as a green channel for Koreans to seek medical treatment, and Jin Shu was elected as the provincial "Jilin Good People • The Most Beautiful National Unity Star" in 2018.
