The Yunnan Special Branch of the Communist Party of China is an important milestone in the history of the revolutionary struggle in Yunnan, and the local organization of the Communist Party of China in Yunnan was born.

In 1915, Li Xin left Baoshan Longling County to study in Kunming and was admitted to the private Chengde Middle School in Yunnan, which was later merged into the Provincial No. 1 Middle School. In 1918, Li Xin was admitted to the Yunnan Army Lecture Hall with excellent results.

In November 1928, Li Xin, alias "Shi Hongxiang", entered the Malague mining area of the tin company. Encouraged by Li Xin, the class consciousness of the workers increased rapidly, and the idea of uniting and fighting against the capitalists gradually arose. In April 1929, Li Xin prepared to launch an armed uprising of workers, with the intention of seizing the mining area. Unfortunately, the news leaked that Li Xin and others were arrested. On May 16, Li Xin bravely rebelled at the age of 32 at the stone wall of Mengzi.
