Text/Aunt Thirteen

Today, aunt thirteen introduced the story of Lin Biao's cousin to everyone, and unlike Lin Biao's final death in the desert, he bowed down to the cause of the liberation of the Chinese people, and finally died young, and was highly praised by Chairman Mao, this person is Lin Yuying.

Lin Yuying, born in 1897, is a native of Huanggang, Hubei Province. In 1919, Lin Yuying met Yun Daiying in Huanggang, and soon after, under his introduction, Lin Yuying joined the Communist Party of China and embarked on a short but brilliant life.

At that time, the Communist Party of China was born shortly after the birth of the Communist Party of China, which required propaganda in all aspects and the organization and leadership of the workers' and peasants' movement, and Lin Yuying made arduous exploration efforts to this end. In 1920, when Mao Zedong was passing through Wuhan, he had a long exchange and meeting with Lin Yuying, and the two established a deep friendship. In 1924, Lin Yuying went to the Soviet Union to study, and the following year he secretly returned to China and joined the workers' movement.

Because of him, Chairman Mao carried the coffin for the only time in his life, and during the Long March, he urged Zhang Guotao to restrain his horse from the precipice

In 1930, Lin Yuying was sent to the northeast to prepare for the establishment of the Manchurian Provincial Party Committee and served as the secretary of the provincial party committee. Shortly thereafter, due to the betrayal of the traitors, he was arrested by the Japanese army and tortured severely. Although he was eventually rescued from prison, his body had been seriously injured, which laid the foundation for his later untimely death.

One of Lin Yuying's greatest contributions was the restoration of direct telegraph ties between the CCP and the Comintern. In 1935, Lin Yuying attended the Seventh Congress of the Communist International, but because the Red Army was on the Long March at that time, the telegraph contact was interrupted. Finally, the Comintern decided to send Lin Yuying back to China to establish contacts with the CCP.

After Lin Yuying received the order, after arduous efforts, he finally came to Wayao Fort in northern Shaanxi, where the CPC Central Committee was at that time, and met Mao Zedong. At that time, the CPC Central Committee was faced with a thorny problem: Zhang Guotao was unwilling to lead his troops north and wanted to take the road of splitting the Red Army and the CCP.

Because of him, Chairman Mao carried the coffin for the only time in his life, and during the Long March, he urged Zhang Guotao to restrain his horse from the precipice

In early 1936, at the suggestion of Mao Zedong and Zhang Wentian, Lin Yuying sent a telegram to Zhang Guotao in the name of the Comintern, urging him to restrain himself from the precipice and reconsider his plan to march south.

Later, after the unremitting efforts of Mao Zedong, Lin Yuying, Liu Bocheng, Zhu De, and others, Zhang Guotao was finally forced to agree to go north, and Lin Yuying successfully completed the tasks assigned by Mao Zedong.

It can be said that Zhang Guotao's "change of heart" was closely related to Lin Yuying's telegram, and Zhang Guotao was still willing to obey the instructions of the Comintern at that time. In his memoirs in his later years, Zhang Guotao also said that he "attached great importance" to Lin Yuying's telegram.

Because of him, Chairman Mao carried the coffin for the only time in his life, and during the Long March, he urged Zhang Guotao to restrain his horse from the precipice

However, God is jealous of the talents! In July 1937, Lin Yuying was appointed as the political commissar of the 129th Division, and the division commander was Liu Bocheng. Just as Lin Yuying was preparing to make greater contributions to the Chinese revolution, the god of death was coming to him step by step.

In April 1940, due to the recurrence of old injuries (the head injury was serious when organizing the workers' movement that year), he suddenly suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, and finally had to lie in bed. On March 6, 1942, Lin Yuying died of illness in Yan'an at the age of 45.

Because of him, Chairman Mao carried the coffin for the only time in his life, and during the Long March, he urged Zhang Guotao to restrain his horse from the precipice

After Lin Yuying died of illness, Mao Zedong and other leaders of the Party Central Committee fell into great grief. On the morning of March 8, more than 10,000 people from all walks of life in Yan'an attended the farewell ceremony of Lin Yuying's body.

Before being buried in the ground, Mao Zedong said: "Lin Yuying contributed greatly to the revolution. As a sign of respect and remembrance of him, I propose that his coffin be personally carried to Taohualing by several of our principal leading comrades. ”

This was the only time in Mao Zedong's life that he carried a coffin to a person, which showed Lin Yuying's position in Mao Zedong's mind!
