Xi Gang (1746-1803) Was a Seal Engraver and Calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty. Formerly known as Gang Gang, the characters Tiesheng, Chunzhang, Luogong, Butterfly Wild, Crane Zhusheng, Mengquan Waishi, Mengdaoshi, Xi Daoist, Scattered Wood Resident, Donghua An Lord, originally from Shexian (now part of Anhui), YizuoYi County (now part of Anhui), living in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Should not be keju, send love poems and paintings, landscapes and flowers, yi rhyme super jun. He has traveled to Japan and is famous overseas. During the Qianlong period, he was filial and honest and square, and he could not resign. Engraved with the names of Emperor Qin and Han, along with Ding Jing, Huang Yi, and Jiang Ren, the four masters of Xiling. Together with Chen Yuzhong, Chen Hongshou, Zhao Zhichen and Qian Song, they are collectively known as the Eight Houses of Xiling.

Xi Gang resolutely refused this, and when the overseer was angry, he sent someone to escort him to the palace with weapons. Xi Gang was not afraid of power, and said resolutely: "Those who have paintings and are tied to them? The head can be cut off, the painting cannot be obtained! The overseer's staff admired his courage and praised: "Er is not a child, but an iron student." Since then, Xi Gang has been called "Tie Sheng".
