Confucius said: As a virtuous gentleman, if your behavior is not solemn, then there is no majesty, and there is no aura; you cannot hold on to weight, and you cannot study knowledge firmly. The code of conduct of a gentleman should be based on loyalty and faithfulness. The friends he made were also people of high moral character. If he makes a mistake, he is not afraid of difficulties and resolutely corrects it.

Confucius believed that as a gentleman, one should be dignified and generous, not frivolous and behave casually. Pay attention to their own external image, spiritual temperament, such a person, full of natural aura, in order to have the dignity of personality.
This is the so-called "man will respect himself and the latter will be heavy, and the man will insult himself and the latter will insult him."

Only a solemn and majestic person can take learning seriously and firmly grasp what he has learned.
What is emphasized here is: both inside and outside, the so-called "belly has poetry and bookish self-glorification."
If a person is very beautiful on the outside, but his external behavior is cowering and shrinking, or exaggerated and arrogant, it is because of the lack of inner cultivation, a person who is dignified and dignified in his heart will reflect his external temperament, generous and decent, such a person must be a person who has learned a lot of knowledge and firmly grasped it.

"Loyalty" is a person's heart to a certain person, a certain idea, a certain principle has a firm direction, so his heart is very full. "Faith" is honesty, words must be done, and words are believed.
If a person's mind is wandering and there is nowhere to rest in his heart, then he cannot make a difference. Because no one dares to trust the trust in this kind of person who thinks that one show is one out.
And if a loyal gentleman seems to have a needle in his heart, no matter what kind of situation he encounters, he will act in accordance with the principle of faithfulness, which is the person who reassures others.
▶ No friends are better than oneself
Confucius said: If you are a threesome, you will have my teacher.
Therefore, Confucius here is not to say that he does not associate with people whose character is inferior to his own, but that he should be good at discovering the strengths and advantages of his friends, learn from him, and think that all the friends around me are better than me.
The Buddha said: Everyone is a Buddha.
When you see that everyone can see the beauty in him, he can be called a true gentleman.

Mr. Nan Huaijin said: When you know that you are wrong, even if you are enlightened.
Each of us will make mistakes, we should not be afraid to admit it, let alone be afraid to correct it, we must have the consciousness and courage to dare to discover our own shortcomings and correct our shortcomings, and some people would rather die than admit their own faults, that is, attachment and ignorance.
Confucius said that people will have it, there is no need to evade cover-up, "if you pass it, don't be afraid to change", just change it.
