The time is set back to the early morning of October 23, 2006, Ren Mou (male) and Xu Mou (male), who are working in Hangzhou, pass by a small shop along the street in the east district of Pengbu Gaotang East of Hangzhou City because of their shyness, and when they see the male shopkeeper alone, they have a bad intention, and stab the 51-year-old male shopkeeper with the fruit knife they carry, and the male shopkeeper instantly fell in a pool of blood. The two then snatched the cash, cigarettes, and snacks from the store and closed the roller shutters, fleeing in a panic.

At the time of the crime, Ren and Xu were only eighteen or nineteen years old, and the two were fellow villagers in Anhui and classmates in elementary school junior high school.
