Qin Shi Huang burned the book pit Confucianism, the cave where the two old men hid books, and now only the book cave of 2,000 years ago is left

When we describe a person who is knowledgeable, we usually think of the word "learning to be rich in five cars", but we all know that this word has the next sentence: "Shu Tong Er Unitary", which can also be used to describe people's knowledge. The allusion to "Learning rich five cars" is relatively simple and plain, and may have been heard; however, "Shu Tong Er You" is very touching, because this is the story of two old people who hid books in the mountains of Confucianism to escape Qin Shi Huang's burning of books more than 2,000 years ago.

Book burning

The story takes place in a cave in Eryou Mountain on the south bank of the Youjiang River, a tributary of the Yuanshui River. The cave is surrounded by mountains that are majestic and beautiful, and the trees are lush and very hidden. More than 2,000 years ago, Qin Shi Huang burned books and pit Confucianism, Kyoto Xianyang Confucians were tragically killed, and tens of thousands of books were burned! There was a Qin Dynasty doctoral official named Fu Sheng, who was called Fu Sheng. This man was very knowledgeable and a book lover, and there were more than 4,000 volumes in his family. Although he himself was not slaughtered like other Confucians, seeing thousands of books burned to the ground, it was as if he had lost his life.

In order to save the ancient scriptures and books he had hidden from being burned, he first laid the books in the wall, and then secretly traveled from Xianyang to Henan, after several turns, running south day and night, and then through Dongting Lake, then changed to a small boat, went up the river along the Yuanshui River, and hid these thousands of bamboo books in this ancient cave of Eryoushan Mountain, where "birds cannot fly, and beasts dare not come." The Taiping Public Opinion Chronicle of Jingzhou records that there are thousands of books in the stone caves of Xiaoyoushan Mountain, which are said to have been hidden by the Qin people."

In order to keep the book, these two old people never went out of the cave casually, and in addition to playing chess in the cave, they often practiced Dan and cultivated immortals. Even if the two were to go down the mountain, they would leave one person to keep the scriptures. The efforts of the two old men were not in vain, and in the Han Dynasty, bamboo and wood and classic books were quickly valued. The two old men took the bamboo books to the capital to ask for a meeting, and they were all moved by the Manchu Dynasty Wenwu for a while! So the collection was protected, and the contents of the book were passed down.
