According to relevant media reports, Tesla (tsla.us) has renewed a five-year battery research contract with Jeff Dahn's battery research laboratory to jointly develop longer-life, lower-cost electric vehicle batteries.
It is reported that Dane's research laboratory operates at Dalhousie University, and it is very supportive of Tesla's goal of reducing battery costs. Under the new agreement, Tesla will fund Dane's lab.

In addition, Dalhousie University announced on January 18 that it will add two well-known scientists to the collaboration, dr. chongyin yang and dr.
