In 2006, the MIT Design and Research Institute began operations in Pune, India, and Habitat Design is one of the directions. Introducing the rocking chair today is the homework of three girls who were asked to design a piece of furniture within two weeks.
Harshita Murudkar, Shivani Gulati and Mehak Philip are three female students from the MIT Design Institute who collaborated on this woven rocking chair from traditional Indian weaving techniques combined with scientific computing.

This rocking chair is a combination of hammock and rocking chair. The dimensions of the ring metal frame were the result of a precise calculation, and the three of them hand-tied the metal rings and welded two curved bases. Ropes are then woven with different degrees of cardinality and texture to suit the weight and pressure of different parts of the body.
You can sit still, you can also shake it leisurely, and it is very good to use it for outdoor recreation. You don't have to sit on the grass in a fixed position all the time, it is more healthy and fun.
Why did humans invent the rocking chair? Is it in search of the comfort that once floated in the mother's body? I don't know, anyway, the design of rocking chairs is endless, and design fetishes have reported countless rocking chair designs.
