In the 12-man roster for the World Cup, Al Farouk Aminu (Magic), Josh Okoji (Timberwolves), Chimezier Metu (Spurs), Ben Yuzo (former Nets), Ike Diogu (former Warriors) and Epe Yudu (former Jazz) were all selected.

According to the 2019 Men's Basketball World Cup grouping, Nigeria is divided into Group B with Russia, Argentina and South Korea.
