The hottest horror movie of the year is coming!
Although due to the theme, when the horror movies around Halloween this year were piled up, we could not see those exciting cool films in the cinema and had to wait for the discs, but fortunately, we had other ways to get the film source.
In the past two years, because Wen Ziren has focused on creating commercial blockbusters, he has entrusted his "Conjuring" universe to his apprentices to take care of, and the horror film market has been ceded to talented new directors.
Last year's "Joker Returns" was a hit at the end of August, and on October 19 this year, "Halloween 11" turned out.

The sequel film, which cost only 69 million yuan ($10 million) to produce, grossed $32.04 million in three days of release, easily beating the "Conjuring" universe's "Nun" to the weekend box office list, and was rated by many foreign media as the best sequel after the original. As of November 11, the global box office has exceeded 1.682 billion ($245.5 million), making it the biggest surprise of this year's horror movies.
Horror B-movie master John Carpenter created the images of Halloween (Moonlight Panic) and "Demon Man" Michael Myers in 1978, which now seems slightly slower, but the thriller effect and soundtrack are excellent, and are known as the originators of jump scare.
Since then, a total of 9 sequels have been released, so that Michael Myles and Laurie Strod have loved and killed each other for many years, and the reputation is not as good as the original, not to mention, not even the passing line. From 1981 to 2009, both the sequel and the prequel were tried, but they failed to find a way out of the series, and fans have long been accustomed to it from disappointment to despair.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the original work, and director David Gordon Green took over the 11th work in the series, deciding to tear down the setting of the nine sequels after the original (Laurie Strod was set as Michael Miles' sister in Halloween 2 in 1981), directly continuing the timeline of the original to create this sequel.
As a result, since the 1978 killing, Michael Myers, the "Devil Man," has been imprisoned in a rehabilitation home in Smith Forest for 40 years. His psychiatrist, Dr. Rambo Satan, was a student of Dr. Loomis in the original, and although he had studied the demonic man's mental condition for many years, he knew little about his evil character.
Our heroine, Laurie Strod, is no longer the sullen girl of 40 years ago, but an old grandmother who has been married twice and has daughters and granddaughters, but although she is 60 years old, she is very skilled, and even the equipment is armed to the teeth.
Because of her youthful encounters, she became nervous, transformed her house into a fortified fortress, and trained her daughter Karen to become a female version of John Connor. Who can stand a nervous mother for decades? Karen's education from an early age made her rebellious, and after starting a family, she separated from her mother and kept a distance, never automatically contacting her. On the contrary, the granddaughter Alison is closer to her grandmother, and has always been sandwiched between the two to maintain their relationship.
Michael Myers spent 40 years at the Smith Forest Rehabilitation Nursing Home before being transferred to Dr. Grass Hill. However, the prison car had an accident on the way to transport the psychopath, and the sick numbers ran out, and Michael Myers managed to grab a car and leave the scene of the accident.
The crash was actually caused by Rambo Satan, Michael Myers' attending physician. Because he had studied this murderous demon for years without finding anything, he wanted to see what kind of madness the demon people could be outside the prison. Of course, the person who died in this way did not end up well, and his head was flattened by the demon man (the picture was too bloody to be released).
After the demon man regains his freedom, he begins his killing game, and even if he can't find his hand-cutting weapon, the fruit cutting knife, he can take the objects around him as weapons to kill people. And those dragon sets who like to die and have low IQ naturally become the objects of his practice, and even Ray, the son-in-law of Laurie Strod, is unable to escape. Dragon sets to send people's heads are the usual routine of horror movies, and we just look at it cool.
Finally, our protagonist mother and daughter are left, who have been preparing for this showdown for 40 years. Fortifications were installed in every room of the house, and Karen was able to understand her mother's painstaking efforts over the years, not simply nervous, but to prevent problems before they happened.
Because her granddaughter Alison went to the Halloween party and could not be contacted, Laurie had to hide her daughter Karen in the basement and go to the demon man herself. Although they are already grandmothers, the age of the demon people is not small, and the two old men have been fighting for many years, and this time they vow to divide the victory and defeat.
Granddaughter Alison also rushed to her grandmother's house, and in order to protect her daughter, Karen also showed a strong side that had been hidden for many years. Three generations of grandchildren fought side by side, and finally joined forces to trap the demon man in the basement.
It turned out that the basement was the final trap, with iron gate mechanisms at the entrance and exit, connected to gas pipes, and flammable items, in order to one day trap the demon people in it and burn them to death. Finally, Michael Myles, the "Demon Man", is buried in a sea of fire that spreads throughout the house, burning the old house as well (you don't think he's going to be burned to death, do you?). )。
The three of them escaped from the house, stopped a car and left in a car. In the end, the three snuggled together, and although they experienced a life-and-death crisis, Laurie and her daughter and granddaughter eliminated the contradictions that had accumulated for many years, and their hearts were finally connected.
Because the film could not be released in the mainland, our domestic media attributed its success to the word "feelings".
In fact, in recent years, there has been a lack of themes, and there are many movies that show off feelings, but the really successful word-of-mouth masterpieces are extremely rare.
The success of "Halloween 11" cannot be simply summarized in the role of feelings, the film through the packaging of horror films, but tells a story about the relationship between mother and daughter.
Laurie and her daughter Karen have a relationship somewhat similar to that of Sarah Connor and John Connor in Terminator 2, both of whom are strong and neurotic mothers with rebellious children, and they all eventually freeze their previous suspicions and eliminate the mustard in their hearts. "I was wrong to raise you like this, but at least I can protect you." It is just a simple sentence, but the strong love is fully expressed, and the theme of family affection has also been sublimated.
The Halloween series is destined to be Jamie Lee Curtis's most successful masterpiece. Although it is already a good year, shooting action scenes is still hands-on and do their best, and the performance in the film is extremely fierce, and the emotional scenes are also quite eye-catching. Although the film was built as the final chapter, but now the results are ideal, the continuation of this IP is also reasonable, it seems that our heroine Laurie Strode and the demon man will continue to fight, looking forward to the next work can bring more surprises.
