Wang Shuhe, formerly known as Wang Xi (王熙), courtesy name Shuhe (王熙), was born in Gaoping, a famous physician of the Western Jin Dynasty in the fifteenth year of Jian'an (i.e., 210 AD), who "learned the history of the Scriptures and understood the way of cultivation" during his lifetime.
