Elder Wang Lianzeng has a set of "List of Martyrs" compiled and printed by the Political Department of the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Military Region in May 1947, which records the direct subordinate units of the Eighth Route Army, the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the Shanxi Youth Anti-Japanese War Death Column, and the Taihang and Taiyue local armed forces of more than 19,000 people who sacrificed their lives for the country in the War of Resistance Against Japan, including the names, positions, places of origin, ages, enlistments, time of joining the party, and the time and place of sacrifice in the battle.
In May 2014, Wang Lianzeng was entrusted by Comrade Guan Guoqing, then director of the Wuxiang County Civil Affairs Bureau, referring to the "Wuxiang County Chronicle", the map of Wuxiang County, the "Wuxiang County Local Geographical Names" and other materials, and through more than three months of careful investigation, he found the list of 558 martyrs who died in more than 40 battles such as Changle Village, Guanjia'an, Shimen, and Miaoyangpo in Wuxiang County during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
