He left a strong mark in the history of China, and he left a proud mark in the history of China.
I knew Li Shimin when I was a child. I know that Li Shimin started from "Speaking of Tang" and "Sui and Tang Dynasties", and when he was a child, he turned his back on the ranking of the thirty-six good men. Knowing Li Shimin, knowing Li Shimin is a very powerful person. If you want to fight, you can fight anyone, and if you fight, you can win, and all the good men must run to him, and it is a tragedy not to run to him.
When he came to the change of Xuanwu Gate, he felt that he had a reason, and felt that his brother was unreasonable and framed Zhongliang. I admire the people of Tiance Mansion so much, and I admire the twenty-four heroes of LingYange! I think his father Li Yuan is so confused, it is not he who advised you to raise an army in Jinyang, it is not his southern conquest of the northern war, where did you come from the emperor to do it? When he was older, he would think about it, and he felt that it was his Lao Tzu who caused all this wrong, and the root was in the Kaitiance Mansion, so that there was a small court outside the imperial court. If the political power is not centralized, the political power is not unified, and the consequence is that each party will carry out its own orders. Li Shiming was also wrong, his brother was also wrong, his lao tzu was even more wrong, and many mistakes collided together to cause the Xuanwumen Incident. Of course, without the change of XuanwuMen, there would have been no later rule of Zhenguan, no later Sheng Tang Dynasty, and of course, there would have been no later flourishing Kaiyuan Shengshi. These are the important foundations laid by Li Shimin, who pushed China's agricultural society into a period of prosperity.
Li Shimin is a man who has a fairly good military set. He conquered the north and the east and west, laying the foundation of the Tang Dynasty and turning the situation of the warlords at that time into a unified situation, which was a rather remarkable thing. During the reign of Emperor Taizong of Tang and Li Shimin, politics was clear, the economy was revived, the culture flourished, and a great situation of governing the world appeared. By 652 (the third year of Emperor Gaozong's reign), the population had reached 3.8 million households.
Tang Taizong Li Shimin used Taoist thought to govern the country and the world. In employing people, he paid attention to honesty and ability, and was particularly able to know people and be good at using talents; in politics, he ruled the country with Taoist thought, respected life, respected nature, exercised self-restraint, did not open the trend of luxury, and listened to opinions extensively and accepted them with an open mind; economically, he adopted farming as the foundation, strictly practiced economy, and recuperated from the people caused by many years of war; in culture and education, he tried to revive; in the examination system, he adopted various perfect methods to make the people hopeful. There was a situation of stability in society; he calmed down external troubles, respected ethnic minorities, and stabilized the frontier, and in the end, Tang Taizong Li Shimin achieved an ideal society under the rule of the world.
Li Shimin was particularly able to listen to different opinions, and he took Wei Zheng, the "human mirror" of people as a mirror, and he consulted more than 200 times, directly advising Li Shimin on his mistakes in the courtroom, which repeatedly embarrassed Li Shimin and could not step down. Chu Suiliang was specifically responsible for recording his words and deeds, and he said to Chu Suiliang: Can you show me your records? Chu Suiliang said, No! I have written down a lot of your mistakes and said a lot of bad things about you, can I show you your faults and bad words?
There is a story. In the fourth year of Zhenguan (630), only twenty-nine prisoners were sentenced to death in the whole country. In the sixth year of Zhenguan (632), the number of death row prisoners increased to 290. At the end of the year, Li Shimin allowed them to go home to reunite with their families, say goodbye, explain the aftermath, and ask them to die when they returned the following autumn. By September of the agreed year, all 290 prisoners had returned, and none had fled. Come back and do what? execute! The credit of the Chinese is thus seen. At that time, the people lived and worked in peace and contentment, and the political clarity made unfair phenomena dare not occur, could not happen, and rarely occurred, and there was no resentment in the hearts of the people. And self-sufficiency, the people will not take risks for survival, do not close their homes at night, and do not pick up the road. Subjective education is very important, but objective conditions must also cooperate with subjectivity in order to make good discipline exist.
Li Shimin ordered the construction of the "Hongwen Pavilion" next to the Hongwen Hall to store the map books, and aimed to collect the map books nationwide, resulting in a total of more than 200,000 volumes of four parts. He also appointed Yu Shinan and Ouyang Qian as bachelors, in charge of the national library collection, and selected those with more than five works of work as hongbunkan booksmen. Under the guidance of Yu Shinan, the calligrapher, who had been delayed by his career in horse racing, returned to the team. After he returned to the team, he made a big move on the second Wang Shufeng, especially pushing Wang Xizhi, so that Wang Xizhi once again embarked on glory.
He was very conceited in calligraphy, good at writing, and very good at writing, and once, he showed his real cursive screen to the courtiers, and said conceitedly: "Calligraphy trail, the beginning is not urgent, sometimes or pay attention, it is better than abandoning the day." Those who have not learned in the art industry and are unable to do so are also sick in their mental sluggishness and cannot concentrate on their ears. "Although calligraphy is a small matter, you can't rush to achieve it when you first learn. We must be persistent, always pay attention, adhere to the heart, absolutely can not three days of fishing, two days of drying nets. Learning art, as long as you study with your heart, there is no failure to learn, the question is whether you are attentive and whether you study it wholeheartedly.
Emperor Taizong of Tang often summoned more than three ministers to feast at Xuanwu Gate. When the wine was in full swing, Li Shimin wrote a flying white cursive script, and the ministers took advantage of the wine to snatch the pen from Emperor Taizong's hand, wrote with a wave of writing, and competed with each other. Liu Huan (who was later victimized by Chu Suiliang), a regular attendant on horseback, had a drunken and playful time, and actually boarded the imperial bed and snatched the pen from Li Shimin's hand. When the ministers saw Liu Huan climbing onto the dragon bed, they thought it was a great disrespect and demanded that Tang Taizong punish Liu Huan with death. Tang Taizong laughed and said, "In the Han Dynasty, there was a female court official named Ban Jieyu, who was willing to go to the tomb of Emperor Cheng to guard her tomb for the rest of her life, rather than accompany the king. Today, I went out to a Liu Hun Liu Chang waiter, climbed on the dragon bed and snatched a pen from the king's hand to write! "It can be seen that Yaliang is really the wind of a generation of emperors." This is probably the earliest official live writing competition on record in China.
