At present, the application of data and intelligent technology in the field of communication is mainly reflected in the following aspects: data mining and analysis, automated content production, algorithm distribution of news/information, user mutual assistance/social robots, intelligent fact-checking. "Data has become a fundamental literacy of our time," she said. ”

Data has a big impact not only on the field of news dissemination, but also on other fields. In 2013, the new York Times commentary board first proposed the "dataism" trend, which attracted widespread attention. Chen Changfeng believes that in the era of information economy, data has replaced coal, iron ore and oil in the industrial age and become a new resource and core competitiveness.

"If dataism succeeds in conquering the world, what will happen to humanity when everything is digitized?" She argues that once authority shifts from human to algorithmic, humanism may become irrelevant. "We have to prove to the system that we still have value.
