#Spanish Travel # Stepping into this stone-walled flower-lined, palm-iron leaf swaying gate, the opening words of the old movie "Butterfly Dream" jumped out of my mind: "Last night, I had a dream, and the dream returned to Mandelli ...", and then the camera is in the beautiful and verdant garden, slowly approaching, a mysterious castle jumping into view...
This is the fantastic century-old mansion Pesguard House, which is located north of Barcelona, at the foot of the Golcelola Hill, Antonio. Gaudí's private residence, designed in 1900, was inspired by the Gothic style, but broke through the box of the Gothic style.
The roof spire is affixed with a two-way three-dimensional cross with mosaics, and a similar tower was later built in Gaudí-designed Park Quill.
The cast iron pattern on the upper part of the gate is like a solidified beautiful music, which is a metaphor for the Ode to the Virgin.
The cast iron gate arches around the door frame and are decorated with stone bricks. On both sides of the door, two curved corner benches, colorful mosaics posted with the pattern of the crown of the fish with the letter m, symbolizing the Virgin.
Look closely at these stone bricks, all of which are made of small pieces of stone, ice cracks, bumps and bumps, each with a square circle.
The flower-like balcony on the front is similar to that of the House of Bayeux. The colored windows in the middle of the foyer are beautiful and special, and the exterior looks dark blue;
From the inside, the middle upper part of the colored window is a three-dimensional folding line, protruding outward, which is dazzling and dazzling!
The upper part is surrounded by medieval battlements, and above it is a small circle of attics, with red brick vaults, chimneys and observation decks.
The northeast corner is a stepped stone balcony, which is simple and dynamic and beautiful.
The lower part of the pointed window has ashlar tiles with round holes, which are both breathable and decorative.
Gaudí was born into a family of blacksmiths, and in his buildings unique grating parts can always be found.
The window grates intersect in wavy curves with flower-like edges.
The curved and twisted cast iron flower platform with flowers blooming like a brocade.
These twisted iron bars, as if they were no longer hard and cold, like branches, had life!
The front yard has a wall designed by Gaudí.
Standing on the city walls, looking at the mansion, the stone building under the protection of the cross stands in the evergreen bush.
The interior hall of the mansion. Both the pillar and the top edge are gracefully curved and forced. White walls, orchid-patterned tiles, atmospheric and colorful glass windows, beautifully shaped iron-framed stained glass chandeliers, breathing vents above door frames... The interior of the house is brightly lit, which is very different from the dark appearance of the exterior. Look closely at the chandelier, the wire below is spiral-shaped, the corners are curled like grass leaf flower stems, and the natural beauty is all in the details.
Roof details, in the medieval style.
Roof lifting pulleys are bitten by cast iron faucets, and it's art everywhere!
The roof of the house faces south, which is the polyline roof characteristic of Gaudí. What does it think of after looking at it? The faucet, of course!
Gaudí's six-site design of Casa Milà, Casa Bayeux, Park Quail, Sagrada Familia, House of Vicens and Palazzo Quell is declared a World Heritage Site in Barcelona. Although the Bcsguard mansion is not among them, I still think it is worth visiting. It's only open on Wednesdays every week!
Its design comes from Gothic art, but it has broken through and innovated a lot, and is a perfect example of the perfect combination of the function and beauty of the building!
