"Wangjiang Pavilion" is based on the Yuan Dynasty Guan Hanqing's miscellaneous drama "Wangjiang Pavilion Mid-Autumn Festival Cut Painting Dan" and Sichuan opera "Tan Ji'er", which has been performed on the Peking Opera stage for a long time.
The story of the play tells: Tan Ji'er, the wife of li Xiyan, a scholar of the Song Dynasty, died because of her husband's death, and was unreasonably entangled by Yang Yannei, the son of the taiwei Yang Jian, and avoided living in the Qing'an Temple, and copied the scriptures for the lord Bai Daogu. Bai Daogu's nephew Bai Shizhong was a middle soldier, and the official was appointed as the Taishou of Tanzhou, and on the way to his post, he passed through Qing'an Guan to visit his aunt. Through the mediation of Bai Daogu, Bai Shizhong and Tan Ji'er fell in love at first sight, formed a good relationship, and embarked on the journey together. Yang Yanei learned that he had a grudge in his heart, and told his father that he had forged the Holy Will, smuggled the Sword of Shangfang with him, and went to Tanzhou to arrest Bai Shizhong. Bai Shizhong heard it and was anxious. Tan Ji'er, disguised as a fisherwoman, drunkenly drunk Yang Yanei in the Wangjiang Pavilion and stole the false holy will and the Shangfang sword. The next day, Yang Yanei went to the Tanzhou capital, and Fang Knew that the plot was revealed. Bai Shizhong arrested Yang Yanei for impersonating Chincha.
